Casita Deluxe - Forest View

Casita Deluxe - Garden View

Equipped with either one King-size bed or two Queen-size beds, the Casita Deluxe Garden View offers the same luxury and privacy as the Forest View, however the terrace faces the Hotel grounds. Guests can experience the Hotels stunning landscaped environment from the terrace. Wake up and see palm trees, emerald green undergrowth and the Hotel’s beautiful cobbled paths, winding from each Casita.

Kantala Restaurant

Dine amongst beautiful surroundings in the open-air restaurant, serving delicious options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Blue Moon Swim up Bar

Carbon Footprint Flight Programme

The breathtaking forest surrounding Río Celeste Hideaway is precious. Therefore, the resort is taking certain measures to ensure its survival for future generations. The resort actively takes steps to mitigate and compensate for greenhouse gas emissions.

“Apart from having approximately 12 hectares of primary and secondary forest in our grounds, each year we plant native trees through the ACCT (Association Community Carbon Trees for the Reduction of Carbon Dioxide) program, mitigating our carbon footprint. The airline industry is responsible for 5% of the CO2 emissions worldwide, which is why we also motivate our guests to compensate for the carbon footprint of their air travel.”

Pack for a Purpose

The Río Celeste Hideaway takes part in the “Pack for a Purpose” scheme, which brings much needed materials to community projects in the area. Bring an item with you on your holiday and make a real difference!

•  Over 95% of collaborators are neighbours from local communities and small local producers, and tour operators are led by area entrepreneurs.
•  Their gardens are chemical-free and they have a greenhouse where they cultivate part of the greens and vegetables used in their kitchen.
•  They support the essential work done by the Tenorio Volcano National Park.
•  Residual waters are treated in a biodigester through the application of biocatalysts.
•  Implemented the reduce, reuse and recycle policy, with plans in place to save energy and water.
•  Hotel bathrooms and bathtubs are equipped with biodegradable amenities.
•  Support local communities and have adopted the neighbouring La Paz School, teaching children about recycling and protecting mother earth.

Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel also asks guests take their own steps to preserve natural resources such as:

  • Using water carefully by utilising refilling bottles and the hotel’s 100% potable water, which is subject to frequent lab tests.
  • Reusing their towels; the hotel will replace them if left on the floor.
  • Taking note of the waste separators in guest rooms and public areas, which are part of the hotel’s rigorous recycling plan.
  • Not feeding wild animals or extracting any plants from any natural protected areas.
  • Participating in fair trade by purchasing at small businesses and local companies.
  • Getting involved in social welfare programs benefiting the local community.
