Pacuare Lodge’s Mission

During the building of Pacuare Lodge, no trees were cut to accommodate this construction, instead they used lumber from a local reforestation project run by small farmers. Pacuare Lodge is fully committed to sustainable tourism, as a part of the Aventuras Naturales company they have contributed to the purchasing of 840 acres of rainforest. This has allowed the to both protect the local ecosystem and to offset the carbon produced by the ongoings of the lodge. Their goal is preservation and therefore the untouched rainforest is prohibited to visitors.

Water Management

Pacuare Lodge ensures that all wastewater flows into septic systems, this guarantees that the nearby remains unpolluted. All shower water is heated by solar panels. Biodegradable soaps and shampoos are used throughout the lodge in order to reduce the impact of these amenities on the local environment.

Electricity Generation

All the electricity used at Pacuare Lodge is clean energy that has been generated by a water turbine in a nearby stream. Pacuare Lodge has limited the amount of electricity it uses by illuminating Bungalows with lanterns and candles, rather than lightbulbs.

Minimum Age Requirement

Only children aged 7 and above can enjoy Pacuare Lodge. Please note, some activities such as rafting may have a minimum age limit.
