Remotely situated within the northern region of Hwange National Park, an expansive wildlife reserve spanning over 14,640km2 lies Hwange Bush Camp, an exclusive property offering scenic diversity, with open grasslands, natural springs and pumped water points. This prime wildlife viewing location offers frequent sightings of concentrated plains game, featuring many staple safari creatures such as lion, cheetah, giraffe, sable antelope, greater kudu and many more. Wildlife game viewing activities include drives in open 4X4 safari vehicles, or guided walks accompanied by one of Bush Camp’s professional guides. Bush Camp caters for a maximum of 12 guests in 6 spacious and tastefully decorated twin-bedded Meru tents, with private en-suite facilities including flush toilets & bush showers with hot water.

Hwange Bush Camp is situated within the 14,640km2 of northern Hwange National Park, located near Dolilo Pan in the Robins Area of the park and 4-hours’ drive from Victoria Falls. Daily connections are available to Robin’s Airstrip, from which your journey is concluded via a 30-minutes’ game drive to Bush Camp. Charter flights cannot land later than 17h00. Victoria Falls to Mbala Gate is a 2-hour road transfer – Airconditioned Minibus from Mbala Gate to Hwange Bush Camp is an approximate 2-hour game drive through the park to camp location. Hwange Bush Camp does not offer road transfers from Hwange Main Camp.

Bush Camp features six superbly appointed canvas safari tents, each with a light and airy feel that compliments the surrounding environment. Each unit seamlessly blends with the encompassing scenery, from which, expansive grassland vistas are visible for miles around. Safari Tents feature an en-suite bathroom with flush toilets, an al fresco bush shower with hot water on request, twin or king-sized beds, eloquent furnishings and various amenities meant to elevate the guest experience. This unit can accommodate up to 2 guests. A third bed can be added to a tent for children under 14 years old.

Hwange National Park is an expansive wildlife area which features over 420 species waiting for you to discover. Bird watching here is phenomenal year-round, but at its absolute best during November through April. Not only is this when European and North African migratory birds are present, but it is also nesting time for resident species. Three dome tents offer fly camping for up to a total of six guests, with each tent accommodating two guests. This unique, grassroots camping adventure is perfect for guests who wish to connect with nature in its rawest form. Explore the expansive landscape of northern Hwange National Park by day and camp beneath a vast canvas of shimmering stars by night. Each tent offers an en-suite long drop toilet, camp beds raised off the ground and mosquito proof gauze windows. Fly camping excursions are carried out over the course of 5 nights.
Hwange Bush Camp is completely sustained via solar energy and does not use rely on use of conventional diesel-powered generators that are harmful to the environment. Utilising the abundance of sun inherent to the Zimbabwean landscape is crucial in maintaining sustainable activity within camp. Solar panels enable the heating of waters for showers, the running of LED lights in the evenings, powering electrical appliances and sustaining in-camp facilities throughout the duration of seasonal operations.
Hwange Bush Camp welcomes all families with children aged 8 years and older. Children aged 8—12 years will be charged 50% of the adult sharing rate. Children over 12 years will be charged full adult rate. All children aged between 8—14 should be accompanied by one parent or Legal guardian in the room at night. The age limit for children on a walking safari is 12 years and above, however, this will be at the discretion of the Pro guide in camp. Due to the potentially hazardous and sometimes potentially unpredictable nature of the camp, children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
