Lares de Chacras is situated a short distance from Mendoza City, which is the capital of the Mendoza Province – one of the best-known wine production provinces in Argentina. The Classic Rooms at Lares de Chacras are cosy and warm, with an inviting and homely atmosphere. Wooden furniture fills the room, and wooden floors and exposed beams add a rustic flair that recalls the surrounding nature. Natural light flows throughout the room through wide windows, which offer guests views of the luscious surrounding gardens. A queen-size bed sits in the middle of each room and comes complete with crisp bed linens and colour cushions. Each classic room comes complete with its own ensuite bathroom. The rooms can come as a double or twin configuration, and an extra bed can be added.
Slightly larger than the Classic Room, the Special Rooms at Lares de Chacras are spacious and filled with bright light, flowing through wide windows and glass doors. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, and modern wooden furniture and exposed beams create an interior design feel of rustic yet modern. A large bed sits in the centre of the room and is covered in crisp bed covers and plump pillows, for a great night’s sleep. All the rooms come with a modern ensuite bathroom which includes a bath and shower. The private balcony offers guests the perfect place to begin their days with a hot coffee, in the fresh air overlooking the hotel’s luscious gardens or sparkling swimming pool.
The Superior Rooms are perfect for honeymooning couples, or just couples looking for a romantic getaway. With a similar design to the Classic and Special rooms, the Superior Rooms are filled with wooden furniture, with polished wooden floors and exposed beams. A large bed sits in the centre of the rooms and is covered in crisp bed linens and plush pillows, with colourful cushions and bed runners adding a splash of colour to the rooms.
There are two Superior Rooms at Lares de Chacras; one on the ground floor with a grand feature stone fireplace and a terrace; and another on the first floor with a spacious balcony. Both rooms come complete with an ensuite bathroom which includes a Jacuzzi bathtub, perfect for relaxing after a long day spent exploring the area.
Guests can head to the Lares Cocina de Hogar restaurant for a delicious and gourmet-inspired dinner. There are a variety of dining options available to guests including a 2-course meal, 3-course meal, or platter of cold meats and cheeses. No matter what flavoursome and creative dishes you choose, you can rest assured that they can be paired with the finest wines in the establishment.
With prior reservation, guests can enjoy a delicious Argentinian BBQ, which happens weekly. A 3-course meal will include delectable and traditional Argentinian food, including meat empanadas, grilled vegetables and salads, and sweet desserts. The delicious food will be paired with a smooth bottle of Mendoza wine.
Staff at Lares de Chacras will be more than happy to organise a wine tour of the surrounding wineries. A great way to get to know your surroundings as well as have a fun day wine tasting, these bicycle winery tours are bound to be an experience. Lares de Chacras recommends stopping at 2 wineries before heading to a winery restaurant for a bite to eat. Ask the staff for their recommendations and they will be able to point you in the right direction!
