Open all day, The Farm Table Restaurant offers a mix of traditional Lao cuisine and Western inspired dishes. Using the majority of their ingredients from the lodge’s garden, guests can savour their food knowing that only the freshest ingredients have gone into crafting their dish. The open-air restaurant allows guests to enjoy the fresh air whilst enjoying their food.

Nestled beside the fascinating NamKhan River, the Library Café offers the perfect place to reconnect with nature. Enjoy a drink or light snack by the river, and listen to the flowing water as it passes by.

The NamKhan Ecolodge offers a wide range of activities and experiences. A Yoga and meditation centre sits overlooking the river which helps you create a traquil environment to strengthen the body and mind. Like many, relaxing is a priority so an outdoor swimming pool, massage area and a library café help to break away from every day life and unwind. The grounds even boast outdoor sports which include football, volleyball and an outside gymnasium with equipment, jogging and walking trails. The Lao Traditional Experience is a truly unique way to discover the culture of Laos. Before embarking on the tour, guests select a traditional Laotian outfit. Then guests get to explore the beautiful green sanctuary, captivating Donkeo Village and the Temple for a photo opportunity. The NamKhan Ecolodge is committed to being as sustainable as possible. They have taken some key initiatives to ensure that they are achieving this aim. One such measure involves in the support of the local communities. The NamKhan Ecolodge purchases as much as possible from local people, supporting the surrounding businesses. Furthermore, the lodge promotes plant biodiversity in the surrounding area. By ensuring that the gardens are maintained and planting native plant species within the lodge garden, the NamKhan Ecolodge contributes into keeping the local plant biodiversity rich.

Due to the privileged location of the NamKhan Ecolodge, they have the land to have a functioning eco-farm. The farm is a fully operational organic farm. They focus on how to best practice the organic farming and concentrate on preserving the traditional Lao eco-farming practices. This eco-farm provides the produce for the lodge’s restaurant, as well as to the local communities surrounding the NamKhan Ecolodge.

The NamKhan Ecolodge is dedicated to implement eco-friendly practices. In order to reduce the amount of water wasted at the lodge, they have introduced the use of ‘water flow reducers’. These restrict the amount of water that is used by guests by strengthening the pressure of the water. Due to this increased water pressure, guests and staff waste less clean water. Also, the lodge collects and reuses rainwater, they use this to water the surrounding gardens and flush toilets. These two practices ensure that clean water is preserved and used unnecessarily.

All of the electricity that is used by the NamKhan Ecolodge comes from 100% renewable sources. This reduces the lodge’s impact on the environment, as all of their energy is from ‘green sources’ rather than damaging fossil fuels.
