The andBeyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge is a minimalist-inspired lodge nestled within the ancient mountains boasting floor-to-ceiling glass panels that offer unobstructed views across the desert. The lodge includes a bar and seating area as well as small seating areas for a more intimate evening. The lodge also includes an interactive kitchen where guests can create their own menu, adding to an already unique experience. For those who focus on health and wellness, the lodge offers an on-site gym perfectly situated to catch the sunrise over the mountains, and a wellness centre where guests are offered a range of treatments, spa baths and a skylight to gaze at the stars.

For the adventurer and wildlife photographer, the trips into the Sossusvlei landscape will offer the chance to test your fitness as you walk or bike your way across the desert, coming into contact with many different types of animals and plants along your journey. Begin your day with your chosen 45-minute Soar over Sossusvlei activity:
- Hot Air Balloon: This once-in-a-lifetime experience is the perfect romantic setting that takes you over dunes and mountains before setting you back down to earth to enjoy a champagne breakfast. After breakfast, you will take a relaxing nature drive back to your pick-up point to enjoy the rest of your day.

- Scenic Helicopter Ride: Take off from the lodge and feel like a bird soaring through the beautiful desert landscape and over the impressive mountain ranges that have stood for millions of years.
After your perfect flight across Sossusvlei, spend the day in one of the most breath-taking desert landscapes in Namibia as you are taken through the desert either in a car or on foot, climb the highest dune Big Daddy for the most spectacular photography opportunities at sunrise/sunset and end the day gazing at the stars with our expert astronomer. Guests at the lodge also have the opportunity to book extra activities in the on-site wellness centre at an additional cost. This includes Massage: Quiet Mind Journey and Massage: Healing Earth African Shea Butter Ritual. These additional activities are a perfect way to relax after spending a busy day exploring Sossusvlei and the surrounding landscape.

Recommended sites inside the Namib-Naukluft National Part (at additional costs):
- Deadvlei: A white clay pan next to Sossusvlei, Deadvlei is characterised by the dark trees that grew in the region when the Tsauchab River flooded. This contrasting landscape is a must for any visit to Namibia.
Recommended sites outside the Namib-Naukluft National Park (at additional costs):
- Solitaire: This tiny settlement is the perfect stop for any intrepid traveller. This small village boasts a petrol station, shop, café and bakery, chapel and many, many car wrecks.
- Duwisib Castle: Stepping back into the medieval world, Duwisib Castle is a red stone castle rising out of the desert. Built by German Officer Baron Hansheinrich von Wolf at the turn of the 20th Century Duwisib Castle is one of the most unique attractions Namibia has to offer.
