Bisate Lodge
Fully immerse yourself in the beautiful picturesque slopes of Rwanda’s Virunga Volcanoes. Follow our guided hike through the densely forested region in search of the world’s largest population of mountain gorillas. Spend time observing their behaviour from a safe distance making sure to not disturb the families of these incredible primates. There is also the once-in-a-lifetime chance to witness the rare golden monkeys that can only be found in particular areas around Africa. Perfect for those who understand the importance of keeping wildlife tours sustainable by not affecting the primate’s behavioural patterns.
As you arrive at Rwanda’s Kigali International Airport you will be met by a very friendly andBeyond representative and driven to The Retreat Hotel. The 11-room luxury boutique hotel is Kigali’s first eco-friendly resort, which contains solar electricity, organic toiletries, and locally crafted furniture. After travelling all day, The Retreat offers you a huge range of facilities to help you relax, including private terraces, yoga and meditation rooms, a large heated saltwater swimming pool with a jacuzzi and an open-air fitness centre.
After breakfast, you will be collected from the Retreat by Heaven and driven to the beautiful Bisate Lodge. You will then spend 3 nights at the Bisate Lodge in a Forest Villa fit with an en-suite bathroom.
Sitting adjacent to the Volcanoes National Park, Bisate Lodge is the perfect base for those who are adventuring on mountain gorilla treks during the day but want comfort at night. Being situated on an extinct volcanic cone the lodge offers truly breath-taking views of several famous volcanoes. Based on authentic Rwandan housing the lodges will really give you a sense of life in the country with a clean luxury finish.
After breakfast, you will be picked up and driven to Kigali International Airport in time for your outward-bound flight.
