Experience one night at the elegant Kigali Serena Hotel, situated along the charming boulevard in the very heart of Kigali. Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge
The next morning you’ll be transported to the Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge. Explore the light mountain forest on the enchanting slopes of the Virunga range, witness the beautiful mountain gorillas in their natural habitat and observe their behaviour for up to an hour. Although it isn’t just the Mountain Gorilla that can be found here, the rare Golden Monkeys who are native to the Virunga Volcanic Mountains can also be observed on these Gorilla treks.
When you land at the Kigali International Airport, you will be met by our welcoming andBeyond representative where you’ll then be transported straight to the Kigali Serena Hotel.

Hidden in the spectacular foothills of Virungas, the beautiful Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge has a magnificent backdrop of 15,000 volcanoes, covered by the tropical forests of Rwanda. Enjoy delicious dining experiences for breakfast, lunch and dinner where you can sit and take in the picturesque view that surrounds the lodge.
On the third day, you begin a once-in-a-lifetime trek to observe the beautiful Mountain Gorilla families in the forests that lie on the slopes of the Virunga range. After spending an hour observing these incredible primates you will head back to base for a late lunch.
On the fourth day, (at an additional cost) you can be taken on another trek into stunning Parc National des Volcans to attempt to spot the beautiful rare Golden Monkeys, which can only be found in a few areas around Africa. After having the chance to witness the golden primates you will then be taken on a cultural village walk to further immerse yourself in the Rwandan way of life. Here you can visit breathtaking lava flows outside the town of Ruhengeri.
You will be picked up from Sabyinyo Silverback lodge and driven to Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight.
