‘By contributing $1 per guest per night to local Non-Governmental Associations (NGOs). This contribution from our revenue enables us to collaborate with Maison Familiale Rurale. This NGO helps vulnerable young people build their professional skills, followed by on-the-job training for further upskilling. This enables them to become responsible citizens, who can easily integrate into the economic activities of the region and the country.’
Kaz’alala also employs local people, helping them to earn an income and support their families. By prioritising local workers, local residents are not forced to move away in search of work.
“Sustainability is in our DNA; we strive to promote the area’s authentic experience as well as provide deep insights into how the local population lives. We aim at preserving and promoting the uniqueness of the people of Bel Ombre, their savoir-faire as well as encouraging responsible development of the region in collaboration with regional stakeholders.
