Our 7,000 islanders enjoy all levels of education running at virtually full capacity, the result of the high emphasis given to educating the young. From teaching English to raising environmental awareness for school children. Monthly environmental workshops are also ran and have introduced a series of life-skill activities to the community.
Over 2 thousand endangered sea turtles were successfully hatched and released into the wild in 2019. 113,000 plastic bottles were avoided in the same year by providing water in reusable glass bottles to guests. The resort collects bio-waste from the kitchen which is then added to garden waste to make compost. The resulting product is used for the organic garden to increase fertility in the soil. Solar panels have also been installed to reduce the consumption and reliance on electricity for heating water.
