Six Senses Zil Pasyon, Felicite, Seychelles

If waking up to perpetual summer sounds like bliss, then Félicité Island’s location outside the cyclone belt is for you. There are of course specific times for particular interests, so we’ve listed a few of the main ones.

March to May and September to November – Aficionados claim that the full adventures of diving are best from March to May and from September to November. However, we can organize PADI certified excursions with qualified dive centres from Praslin and La Digue all year round.

May to September – For visitors wishing to hike and walk nature trails, May through September offer the most temperate climate.

Mid-October to mid-January  – Sea turtles come back year after year to our Grand Anse Beach to dig their nests and lay their eggs. Each nest is properly protected and signposted with information for guests.

Mid-December to mid-March – Turtle Hatchlings, tiny turtles erupt from their nest deep in the sand and begin their life-or-death race to the sea.

All year around – Sailing, fishing and snorkelling, these activities are recommended all year round although October to April claims to be the optimal period.

The resort, which occupies one third of the total land, is set on the island’s north side of Félicité Island facing La Digue, Praslin, Curieuse, Petit Soeur, Grande Soeur, Coco and Marianne islands. Félicité is a private island located 30 nautical miles (55 kilometres) northeast of Seychelles International Airport in Mahé. It is a short hop from Praslin or La Digue via speedboat or, for the more adventurous, via helicopter from Mahé.

Private speedboat transfers are available upon request and subject to weather conditions on the day of transfer. However, if you wish to fly over by helicopter you must reserve your seat in advance.

Sustainability Starts Here

The island of Félicité is an ecological marvel, so at Six Senses Zil Payson they do everything they can to sustain its integrity. Their social and environmental projects are not obligations, they are motivations and are the reason for why they bounce out of bed every day. For Six Senses Zil Payson, sustainability starts with growing their own food. In 2019, they produced nearly 39,000 kilos of organic herbs, fruits and veggies to feed their guests and hosts. A new area has been developed next to the garden where guests can learn more about their approach to permaculture and compost and much more.

Six Senses Zil Payson grow herbs and vegetables in their organic garden and herb nursery. The different herb and salad varieties that they produce make their way to the chefs and get served up for a fresh, island evening meal. Other achievements that Six Senses Zil Payson have carried out regarding sustainable practice and environmental protection include youth engagements and forest and marine restoration.

  • 1,800 coral fragments harvested and grown in our nursery, with 600 fragments transplanted so far
  • 1,300 people reached through our 2019 educational activities
  • 7,000 indigenous species planted to date as part of our island restoration project
Water Bottling Plant

Six Senses Zil Pasyon have a reverse osmosis plant and crystal water refinery, which produces mineralised water without any carbon footprint. Which always wins over bottled water in the taste test too. Still or sparkling, at Six Senses Zil Payson, they do it right.

Families Welcomed

At Six Senses Zil Payson, they welcome families with young children. With plenty of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy and a kids club offering experiences in creativity, culture and environment as well as other fun activities – Six Senses Zil Payson is a perfect destination for a family holiday.
