On your arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be welcomed by your chauffeur at the airport. Then, proceed to Negombo with a journey that will last approximately 30 minutes and afterwards, check in at the hotel where you can spend the rest of the day at your own leisure. During this time, you can proceed to Hamilton Canal which is over 120km long and rent a bike (at your own expense) for a gentle ride along the canal. You can also head to Negombo beach where you can relax and soak up the warm sunshine.

Kick off your second day with breakfast at the resort and visit the Negombo local market. You will then proceed to Sigiriya with an approximately 3 and half hour journey and enjoy a Sri Lankan lunch. Finally, check in at the resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure followed by a local dinner. Throughout your leisure period, you can visit the royal gardens situated at the base of Sigiriya rock.

There is an incredible royal garden full of bathing pools and a little island with pavilions. You can also venture to see the lion’s paws which are on the northern end of the rock where two massive lion paws have been carved from the rock.

The following morning after breakfast, visit and climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which was once a religious temple, and later the site of the royal palace of King Kasyapa. Afterwards, take part in a village tour followed by a local cooking demo and lunch. Then, proceed to Minneriya which will take approximately 30 minutes, and take part in a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park. Finally, you shall return to the resort to spend the evening at leisure followed by dinner.

This time can be used to visit one of the leisure activities suggested on day 2, or you can take this time to explore all that Sigiriya has to offer.
