Enjoy a free morning at your own leisure, before getting picked up from your hotel and transferred to Sanur, a laid back town located on a sun-drenched stretch of picturesque beach. Arrive at the headquarters of ‘Strange but Cool’, a start-up fashion brand owned and operated by entrepreneur and designer, Tina Lim. Inside, find chic fashions and the incredible Museum of Vintage Bags, located to the rear of the store. After an informative introduction about the museum and its history, browse the incredible collection of more than four hundred and fifteen different pieces.
Purses, totes, and clutches dating from the 1920’s to the 1990’s showcase the major, and lesser-known artistic influences of those periods. While perusing the daintily hung bags that line the colourful walls and tables in funky displays, get a first-hand look at the array of design themes, reflecting a rich zeitgeist of culture through fashion.
Next, meet Tina herself for an informative talk on fashion, her obsession with vintage bags, and her impressive history as a businesswoman and designer. She will explain several pieces from her collection, bringing history to life through anecdotes.
Taking a break from the tour, delight in a variety of traditional Balinese sweets, before participating in a handicraft workshop focused on minimising single-use plastic. Utilising common household items, learn how to ‘up cycle’ plastic bottles and other containers into unique artistic creations. This workshop provides a great opportunity to utilise the fashion knowledge gained at the museum to make unique and sustainable pieces which can be taken home to show friends and family.

Ancient underground temples, breathtakingly beautiful landscapes and idyllic stretches of sandy beach await with this full-day tour. Begin the day with an exhilarating speed boat ride across cerulean seas and into the paradise that is the island of Nusa Penida. Begin with a visit to Goa Giri Putri, a breath-taking, colossal underground temple that’s accessed only through a small crack in the rock face. The stony entrance is an awe-inspiring underground grotto big enough to fit around five thousand people. Learn about the Hindu religion as a knowledgeable local tour guide walks through shrines, temples and prayer spots where the pilgrims come to worship deities such as Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy. From there travel to the sleepy, unspoilt village of Semaya, where you will have the opportunity to speak to local seaweed farmers and participate in farming on the ocean shore. Cut and dry the seaweed under the guidance of an experienced farmer. Next, make the stunning journey to the sleepy island village of Tangland to meet a male batik weaver. Traditionally, the process of batik weaving is carried out by females but hear from a man who has carried on the age-old tradition of his ancestors. After a morning of exploration, wind down the day with a visit to the breathtakingly beautiful Atuh beach. Surrounded by soaring, foliage-topped cliffs, the secluded Atuh beach is a sight to behold. With flawless white sand and clear turquoise water, this little bay is accessed by a dizzying descent down a set of steep, stone steps. Upon arrival at the sandy shores gaze out at the huge cliffs and amphitheatre-like seclusion, a wondrous view for this paradise location. Head back via speedboat, just in time to enjoy an evening back on the mainland.

Spend your last full day in Ubud at your own leisure, before transferring to the next destination on day six. Check out from your hotel in the morning, where a guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport. Catch your flight to Surabaya, once there transfer to your hotel and relax in the evening.

While staying in the wonderful national park of Bromo, you decide the ending to your Bali adventure. Spend the next three days relaxing and exploring the area yourself, or participate in any of these optional activities, offered by your respective hotel.

Pick out your own vegetables if your trip coincides with the harvest season or choose your ingredients from a traditional market in a nearby village. Once you have the expertise and the ingredients, get ready to cook up a storm overlooking dramatic views of the rolling hillsides of Bromo.

Enjoy a serene and idyllic candlelit dinner in the soothing surrounds of our JivaDevi Nursery accompanied by the gentle symphony of birdsong and trickling water from the waterfalls and rockeries. The garden has been personally curated to display endemic Indonesian flora and fauna such as orchids, hibiscus flowers, colourful fish and songbirds. Explore the corners of your own secret garden, where ornate statues echo the ancient history of the region, tucked away alongside black sand from the Bromo caldera and charming bicycles dating back to the Dutch colonial era. A dedicated personal butler will ensure you a romantic dinner by candlelight at Plataran Bromo.
Garden For A Day – Plantaran
Discover the rich biodiversity springing from Bromo’s fertile volcanic soils, with our Gardener for a Day encounter. Working alongside a local gardener, you will explore the undergrowth and learn about a wide range of flowers, herbs, vegetables, and plants that call the Jiva Devi Nursery garden their home. Perfect for travellers with green fingers and a passion for nature, this experience is not to be missed.
Sunrise Tour in Bromo – Jiwa Jawa
Mount Bromo provides the backdrop for one of the most stunning sunrise watching spots on earth. Watch the night turns into day with the awe inducing Tengger Caldera before your eyes. Start your journey early and make your way to Pananjakan viewpoint to witness this magical moment.
Sunset Tour in Bromo – Jiwa Jawa
Watch as the day turns into night from the peak of Pananjakan, the highest lookout point of Mount Bromo. The experience is perfect for those who appreciate silence amid nature, as sunset watching at Bromo is generally much less crowded than sunrise.
Village Trekking – Jiwa Jawa
The Bromo Tengger National Park is as much about its people as it is about breath-taking landscapes. Get to know the locals and listen to their stories as you track around the villages within the vicinity. It is a taste of Javanese hospitality at its best.
Pekalen Rafting Adventure – Jiwa Jawa
Those who are into adrenaline inducing adventures should participate in the white water rafting trip along the Pekalen River, twenty kilometres away from the city of Probolinggo. Rafters may choose the seven kilometres, nine kilometres, or twelve kilometres rafting route.
On your final day (Day 11), transfer to the airport for you flight to the next destination.
