If you are looking for a family trip that every member can enjoy, then Sri Lanka is the perfect destination. As well as exploring the rich culture that Sri Lanka has to offer, you can visit a tea plantation and enjoy a tea experience in Nuwara Eliya, enjoy a waterfall walk & picnic, Rafting in Kithulgala, A train ride from Kandy to Hatton, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, embark on a morning walk with the Veddas, and take an evening safari at Gal Oya National Park. Additionally, travellers can trek to monkey mountain, take an exciting evening boat ride, explore Anuradhapura by bike, and visit the Ritigala forest monastery and Pidurangala Rock. Sri Lanka is home to a wealth of accommodation that welcomes families and where children will always be entertained.
Day 1 consists of your arrival in Sri Lanka, where you will be welcomed by a chauffeur at the airport. After your meet and greet, you will then proceed to Negombo which is approximately 30 minutes away, and check in at the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.
At the start of day 2, proceed to Hatton which is a journey of approximately 4 and a half hours, and visit a tea plantation for a tea experience. Check in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure. During your time of leisure, you can visit Castlereagh reservoir where you can explore beautiful landscapes or visit Laxapana falls and enjoy the cascading waterfall.
The following day, enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast at the resort and take a waterfall walk with a scrumptious picnic lunch during the day. Return to the resort and spend the rest of the day at your own leisure. The next day, you can enjoy another delicious breakfast before the journey to Kithulgala which will last approximately 2 hours. Afterwards, take part in a white water rafting safari. Return to the resort and spend the evening at leisure. If you wish, during this time you can visit the classic car museum.

Day 5 starts with breakfast at the resort before travelling to Kandy by train. You will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and check-in at the hotel. Kandy has masses to offer including the Kandy Garrison Cemetery which is beautifully maintained and has been visited by the future King of England. You can walk in the footsteps of royalty and visit the Empire Cafe and enjoy a refreshing drink whilst relaxing and listening to the hustle and bustle of Sri Lanka around you.
Enjoy breakfast at the resort and proceed to Gal Oya which is approximately 4 hours away. Check in at the resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure. During this time of leisure, you can explore Gal Oya your way. The next day after breakfast at the resort, take part in a village walk with the Veddas, the indigenous community of Gal Oya. Then enjoy an evening safari at Gal Oya National Park. Finally, return to the resort and spend the day at your own leisure.
On your final day in this region, enjoy breakfast at the resort and then take part in a trek to monkey mountain. In the evening you can take a boat ride into the jungle, exploring this verdant paradise before returning to the resort to spend the evening at leisure.
After breakfast on day 9, you will proceed to Pasikudah, located approximately 3 hours away. Check in at the hotel and spend the next 3 days at leisure enjoying the beach resort and letting the hours pass by whilst listening to the beautiful sounds of the ocean.
Enjoy breakfast at the resort and proceed to Anuradhapura which is approximately 3 and half hours away. Check in at the resort and spend the evening at your own leisure. You can visit the Archaeological museum where you can learn fascinating facts about the history of Sri Lanka. The next day, take part in a city tour of Anuradhapura by bike. Return to the resort and spend the rest of the day as you wish. It is highly recommended to visit the Royal Pleasure Gardens where you can fall in love with the exquisite plant life.
On your final day in this region, enjoy breakfast at the resort before a trip to Ritigala mountain and visit a forest monastery in the mountains. Return to the resort and spend the day at your own leisure. During this time, you can visit Thuparama Dagoba which is said to be the oldest visible Dagoba in the world.
Enjoy breakfast at the resort and then venture out to the Pidurangala Rock, where you can climb and explore. Finally, proceed to Colombo the capital city, a 5-hour journey with sweeping views and a chance to connect with the landscape on the way. Here, you will check-in at the hotel of choice, spending the rest of the day at your own leisure. While in Colombo, you can explore the national museum where you can learn about Sri Lanka’s history, or visit Galle Face Green where you can soak in the warm Sri Lankan sunshine.
Proceed to the airport for departure after a memorable stay at our island home.
