Ngala has about 45 different species of animals that reside within the reserve and lives up to its name by supporting several prides of powerful cats. Cheetahs and Wild Dogs are also regularly spotted moving through the reserve. With the reserve being incorporated into Kruger National park, you will be spellbound by the wildlife and nature at this game reserve. Enjoy the endless African array at Ngala, be captivated by the smell, feel and scenery; be enchanted by the place where the lions roar.

Upon your arrival at OR Tambo Airport, you will be met by an andBeyond representative and assisted onto a flight to Ngala Private Game Reserve. As you arrive at Ngala, you will be welcomed and transferred to Nagala Safari Lodge.

Spend your next 2 days immersing yourself in the exciting activities that the lodge has to offer. Embark on a nature walk through the reserve, spotting amazing wildlife such as leopards, rhinos, lions and more. Nature walks allow you to follow the tracks and clues left by big game, with the opportunity to view wildlife in their natural habitat. If you get tired of walking, enjoy a game drive conducted in a safari vehicle and cruise around the reserve, viewing large prides of lions. Listen to the lions roar, making their presence heard.
After a long day of adventure, head back to the lodge for a warm welcome and a mouth-watering banquet served in the elegant candles courtyard, or feast around the blazing boma fire. Browse through the safari shop and unwind as you purchase a souvenir. For your final day, relax your body with a range of massages at the lodge, a great way to end your trip with a therapeutic African massage.

After breakfast, you will wave a fond farewell to the Ngala staff, and embark on a drive to Ngala Airstrip for your flight to OR Tambo International Airport, in time for your onward travel arrangements.

During the summer months, the foliage becomes very dense in the reserve, and a lack of roads through vast wilderness areas makes game viewing very tricky. The best time to visit is in the latter part of the dry season when water is scarce and the vegetation is at its lowest.
Ngala Tented Camp also offers the option for a special night under the stars, cocooned in the wilderness, deep into the reserve. Ngala Treehouse is a luxurious sleep out, two-storey platform that allows you to indulge in the wild without any social media disruption. (at additional cost)
