Kadizora Camp

Situated amidst the expansive savannah regions of the Northern Okavango lies Kadizora Camp, characterised by stretching grassy plains, scattered trees and astonishing wetland views. Accommodation is designed with luxury and privacy in mind, comprising various luxury and standard tents with a host of modern amenities. Dining is both lavish and comprehensive, with an abundance of freshly prepared cuisine served each day, particularly with the evening three-course meal that deviates from the buffet style feasts of breakfast and lunch. A mix of western cuisine and locally inspired flavours allows you to dine as extravagantly as one desires, with all-inclusive food and beverages to enjoy throughout.

Kadizora Camp, Botswana

Kadizora Camp is situated in the remote northern region of the Okavango Delta, between the Vumbura River and Selinda Spillway, overlooking picturesque, seasonal floodplains. Giant marulas, sycamore figs, jackalberry and rain trees provide a canopy of shade throughout the camp.

The flight time from Maun to Kadizora Camp is approximately 35 minutes. From Kasane the flight time is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes and from other Delta camps, transfer is approximately 30 minutes. All air charter companies can utilise Kadizora Airstrip.

Of the 13 total suites, there are 9 luxury units and 4 standard units, elevated on timber decks with astonishing bushland views, a spacious interior and an emphasis on privacy. Each suite contains an en-suite toilet, alfresco shower facilities and a variety of cutting-edge amenities for you to enjoy.

Luxury Tents (9 Rooms)

Each of the 9 luxury tents, elevated above the ground on raised timber decks facilitates astonishing views over the surrounding bushland environment while simultaneously positioned for optimum guest privacy. Each unit is spacious and airy, furnished in the classic South African safari style. Each unit comes complete with an en-suite bathroom, alfresco shower facilities, a bathtub and vanities.

Standard Tents (4 Rooms)

These 4 standard tented units provide comfortable and airy quarters to relax between the day’s safari activities. Raised above the ground on timber decks, astonishing vistas over the surrounding wilderness are commonplace – a remarkable site to behold in the early morning hours. Interior mixes the conventional safari aesthetic with modern amenities designed to elevate the guest experience, with an en-suite bathroom, alfresco shower and vanities as standard.

The bar, lounge, reception and dining area form a horse-shoe shape around the sandy fire pit. From there, a decked walkway leads you to an inviting swimming pool with a view over the floodplain. Meru-style tents form the common area and open onto a central deck and fire pit.

Upon your return to camp, you’re free to indulge in a range of luxuriously prepared feasts and bottomless beverages, all-inclusive as standard. The Kadizora Dining Experience

Upon your arrival at Kadizora Camp, you can expect lavish, all-inclusive catering and fine dining throughout the duration of your stay. Breakfast and lunch consist of a help-yourself, buffet style feast, with a mix of western cuisine and local flavours, freshly prepared from locally sourced ingredients, keeping you satisfied throughout the day’s activities.

In the evening, a plated three course dinner is served at an atmospheric, in-camp communal dining area, in the company of friends and guide alike. With all-inclusive rates, you’re free to indulge in a range of locally sourced alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day and between meals, with a host of lite bites and added extras in-between.

High Tea

Safari

The ultimate safari experience awaits you as seasoned guides lead your adventure through immersive delta lands, with various land, water and air excursions to engage with throughout your stay – including the iconic Kadizora hot-air balloon excursion. All the iconic safari staple creatures await you, so be sure to bring a camera, as delta lands facilitate pristine photographic potential.

Island Walks

Guided island walks allow you to take in the sights and sounds of the Okavango at a more intimate and leisurely pace than is applicable with other modes of safari game viewing. Seasoned guides, armed in case of emergency, will lead you safely through the undisturbed landscapes of the Okavango while brushing elbows with scores of wild game.

This bespoke and invigorating wilderness experience allows you to get up -close-and-personal with meandering elephants, frolicking zebra and all the big cats indigenous to the northern delta region, culminating in a unique and insightful wildlife viewing experience.

Mokoro Excursions

Embark on a tranquil, culturally enlightening water-bound excursion that sees you silently glide across open delta channels in a traditional style African dugout canoe (mokoro) as you pass scores of aquatic creatures and vegetation.

Drifting calmly onward through the atmospheric scenery, Okavango waterways will reveal intricate waterlilies, papyrus grasses, brightly coloured frogs, kingfishers and dragonflies, including predator and prey alike that rear in close to feed on the reeds and drink from river waters.

Game Drives

Set forth in exploration of delta lands with experienced guides and trackers in open 4×4 safari vehicles for the game viewing experience of a lifetime. All the big cats await you, including countless staple safari mammals and creatures – the Big 5 being just the tip of the iceberg.

Hot-air Ballooning

Hot-air balloon safaris are few and far between, vacant even amongst many of the infamous retreats that speckle the landscape of the Okavango Delta. This unique and atmospheric excursion across delta skies is not to be missed, presenting the opportunity to view herds of mammals pass beneath you, viewing the expanse of merging ecosystems and immersive landscapes from your exclusive viewing platform high in the sky.

You have the option of booking an early morning hot air balloon flight over the Delta at sunrise for a spot of early morning game viewing. Hot-air balloon excursions are accessible via external camp location and come at additional fees.

Excursions last approximately 45 minutes – minimum of 2 guests required and no more than 4 guests at maximum capacity.

Catch and Release Fishing

Catch and release fishing is one of the many additional activities offered at Kadizora Camp. The surrounding wetlands, lagoons and delta channels, rich in tilapia and spotted and silver catfish result in ideal conditions for avid fishers to cast a line and unwind amidst the backdrop of the Okavango landscape. Avid fly-fishers are advised to supply their own equipment.

Bird Watching

Okavango birding is a unique and insightful experience that attracts wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers alike from all around the world. Over 450 species make for a unique and unparalleled viewing experience. Knowledgeable guides, familiar with the many indigenous birds and their beckoning calls will familiarise you by pointing out different species as you progress.

Some of the rarer avian species include the illusive Pel’s fishing owl, endangered wattled crane and the majestic African fish eagle.

Community Visits

Children Welcome

Kadizora Camp welcomes all families with children aged 12 years and older. However, due to the potentially hazardous and sometimes unpredictable nature of the environment, all children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
