On March 27th a group of staff at Ana y Jose wake up in the morning and get ready to clean the streets of Tulum which they call ´Earth Day at Ana y Jose´. The team suit up to go on a 3km walk collecting waste along the highway.

It takes a total of 2 – 3 hours for the team to collect as much garbage as they can. This is then transferred to the hotel for subsequent separation and recycling of different materials. The purpose is to give the local roads a better image towards tourists. The hotel believes in working with social and environmental responsibility campaigns to take care of nature and preserve the destination.
