Awasi is carbon neutral and protects 340 hectares of native woodland in Iguazú and Patagonia. The villas are made from natural local resources such as wood and stone, and a neighbourly and respectable bond is kept with the local Guarani tribes. They directly allocate a part of their sales to The Awasi Foundation, which includes projects such as Iguazu’s’ Nature, Wildlife and Communities, as well as a Patagonia Conservation Project.
“Our efforts are focused on protecting and conserving this valuable ecosystem. We do so by donating and collaborating directly with local entities which work in the protection, rehabilitation and reintroduction of native animals. We also protect natural areas by helping monitor and track local species, and by helping the authorities keep hunters and poachers at bay.”
