A unique enclave in the heart of the Uco Valley, Argentina’s new wine capital. The hotel is located in the Mendoza Province, Village of Tunuyán, Vistaflores region. Laguna Suites feature private terraces with 180º panoramic views. All suites feature a double bedroom, living room and dressing area. Casa de Uco have range of exciting activities that incorporate the landscape of Uco Valley. Guests have full use of the infinity pool, tennis courts, horseback riding through the vineyard, bike rides or trekking excursions, horse-drawn carriage rides, or explore the reserve and mountains and for the guest who wish to have a heart pumping adventure, paragliding, net fishing, white water rafting, and mountain biking is also available.

 

 

Uco Sauna

Elite spa offering aromatherapy and vinotherapy treatments, mineral treatments, and antioxidant packed spring water. The spa is equipped with a cedar wood sauna, aroma steam room, wet sauna, deep soaking hydrotherapy baths, treatment rooms, interior and exterior relaxation areas, a fitness centre, and Hamman style room.

A range of indoor activities available such as Argentine cooking classes taught by award-winning kitchen staff, olive oil tastings, and wine tastings, led by the house sommelier who gives an insider’s look into some of the best wines of Mendoza. Casa de Uco commits to protect the natural beauty and the precious biodiversity of the Uco Valley by being respectful and supporting of the surrounding nature, culture and hospitality. Casa de Uco prides themselves on using renewable, sustainable energy this is done solar collectors. This effort is used to heat the water at the resort in order to consume less gas in the process of heating it.

Water conservation

Casa de Uco is located in Uco Valley with annual rainfall of 250 mm this makes the environment have a severe lack of natural water. In turn this means each litre extracted is carefully guarded and used within the vineyards. Use of drip irrigation systems allows for irrigation efficiency of 90% is achieved. Heavy investment throughout the hotel provides soil mapping allowing the hotel to identify areas with different drainage allowing identification of risks of poor drainages.

Our cuisine

Casa de Uco has an organic and seasonal menu in which 30 different crops are grown throughout the year within the hotels own garden. Additionally, local farms supply the hotel with organic produce such as fine fruit (blackberry and raspberry) and juices (apple and quince).

Reducing impact on climate change

Casa de  Uco implements s staff training throughout the entire resort within this training staff are taught energy consumption and climate change to raise awareness. This training is crucial as the hotel believes that each worker can be responsible for significant energy savings and encourage guests to  also consider climate change when at Casa de Uco by suggestions such as moving around the property by bike, on foot or on horseback.

Reduction, Reuse, Recycle

Casa de Uco  incorporates a waste plan based on the principle of the three R’s (3R), which prioritises the reduction, reuse and recycling of waste. The used paper is given to the local bookstore where it is recycled into new usable paper. The glass is removed by the Neighbourhood Union of the nearest town: La Quebrada, who sell that glass and donate the money obtained for the fight against cancer. The corks of the wines are collected and then delivered to a kindergarten where the children use them in their crafts. Food waste produced by the kitchen is composed.
