The nearest airport is Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, 56 km from the hotel, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Bandarawela is 20 km from Dream Cliff Mountain Resort, while Ella is 31 km away. The resort itself is surrounded by mountain ranges and vegetation, making for picture-perfect views from every angle.

Each room is a standalone cabana, called a ‘Beehive’, with spectacular uninterrupted views all the way from the bed to the balcony and beyond. Circular in shape and with a dome roof, en suite toilet, glass-tempered doors and large private balconies and sitting patios, each cabana provides you with a little slice paradise all to yourself – up in the clouds with every comfort you would need.

Luxury Beehives

Dream Cliff is home to six Luxury Beehives that are stunning examples of the exquisite design that’s gone into the resort. In 450 sq. ft., and just like the Alexandrite Grand Luxury Beehive, each Beehive comes with every modern amenity and also feature a handmade chandelier.

Amenities include a flat-screen TV, DVD player, satellite channels, a mini bar, personal safe and free Wi-Fi, perfect for evenings in unwinding. The private bathroom has a bidet, hairdryer and also complimentary toiletries. Alongside this, guests can indulge in comfort in a king size bed perfect for couples. Extra beds are available as are twin beds for travelling groups.

Alexandrite Grand Luxury Beehive

There is just one of these on the whole site and the room is approximately 600 square feet. The capacity of this room comfortably accommodates up to 3 adults and 2 children and housekeeping keeps your stay tidy. A private balcony provides a beautiful mountain view and is the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.

Other features include room service, a seating area and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower to complete the luxurious feel. Amenities that are also provided include a minibar, telephone, hair dryer and in-room safe. The tile/ marble floor completes the Sri Lankan experience as does being able to gaze at the nature right outside your  window.

Honey Comb

Honey Comb Restaurant is Dream Cliff’s hilltop restaurant. It features rustic interior paired with elegant character, and allows guests indulge in beautiful dishes, to match the stunning scenic view from every seat. The restaurant offers signature Sri Lankan cuisines and a range of European meals, so sit back with a glass of something nice and dig in!

Sky Deck

Sky Deck is the upper floor deck and on par with the clouds, and it offers 360-degree views of the surrounding mountain ranges. From this vantage point you can see up-to five districts of Sri Lanka namely Badulla, Monergala, Ratnapura, Hambanthota and Ampara. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, along with a BBQ. But venture up to the roof to enjoy a famous glass of Ceylon tea at any time of day, because that view is 24/7.

Beragala Village and Haputale

Bergala is a hidden treasure amongst the highlands of Sri Lanka. A serene village, it is nestled in a valley perring straight through the Beragala Gap to the plain that is 1,000 metres below and across the coastline. Natural views aside, Haputale is surrounded by hills that are perfect for walks and hikinh. Spotting waterfalls and ancient temples along the way adds to the adventure.

Bamarakanda Waterfalls

18km away are the Bambarakanda Waterfalls which cascade down the jagged rock face. Come and bathe under Sri Lanka’s tallest waterfall and admire the glimmering rock shining in the sunlight. It’s the perfect spot to explore and laze around.

Yala National Park

Yala National Park is home to elephants and leopards that roam freely over the grassland. Cautious deer and birds can also be spotted. Take a day trip to the national park on a safari and experience what it is like to get up close and personal to such rare and wild animals. The guided tour will teach you all you want to know the magnificent creatures that inhabit the national park.

Udawalawe National Park

Home to several hundred elephants and other rare wildlife, this protected national park takes guests on guided tours of the open terrain. Private tours can be arranged for families or groups and it is recommended that you spend around 3 hours at the park, to take in all there is to explore.

Flying Ravana Adventure Park

This one of a kind experience in Sri Lanka is located amongst the luscious greenery of Ella and is home to Sri Lanka’s first ever mega zip-line. A two-wire zip line stretches for more than half a kilometre and allows visitors to soak in the beautiful hills that surround the island. Designed for adrenaline junkies and those who seek adventure, Flying Ravana is perfect for families with children and groups. Other activities at the adventure park that may suit those who seek outdoor fun include archery, air rifling, abseiling and quad biking.
