Illa Experience Hotel is located in the close-knit, arts neighbourhood of San Marcos, at the heart of Quito’s historic centre – the world’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests can stay in this warm and lively quarter, a fine representation of early 20th century Quito mansions, with a variety of rooms and suites of distinct styles. Illa Experience’s Luxury Rooms feature a variety of views and one has been specially adapted for disabled guests. Each room features either a double or two twin beds and varies in style depending on the floor on which it is located. The floor space is 29 square metres.

Nuema is an award-winning restaurant beloved by hotel guests and Quiteños alike. The head chef trained with Gastón Acurio in Perú and Quito and is a founding member of Panela, a collective of chefs that work with local ingredients.

As well as this, the hotel invests a certain amount of its income back into the community.
Illa Experience has taken several steps to reduce the impact of the hotel on the environment. These include reducing food waste, eliminating single-use plastic items such as straws, bottles and cutlery, using water-efficient toilets and allowing guests to opt-out of daily room cleaning. Food is organic and locally sourced as much as possible and the use of motion sensors, double-glazed windows and energy-efficient bulbs reduce the hotel’s energy consumption.
