The magnificent building has a long history; built in 1913 it has housed the American Embassy during the colonial period, the Mining Service, Syndicate of Banks and the Order of Physicians. Antananarivo is Madagascar’s capital and experiences a cool and dry period from June to August with temperatures averaging around 15C. The warm and rainy season is from November to March and can reach over 25C at its warmest, making it ideal for hiking, wildlife spotting or visiting beaches. The best time of year to visit is generally during the months of April, May and September, as these are the driest, while Madagascar’s slowest tourism season from January to March may provide less crowds at expense of rainy weather. During the dry season temperatures can drop at night and especially during the rainy season, guests should pack prepared for all weather eventualities.

La Table d’Epicure
