There are 20 luxury Breeze Apartments at Morena Resort, all of which feature one bedroom with air-conditioning and a large balcony that offers sweeping views over Morena’s tranquil botanical gardens. Guests can sit out on comfy cushioned chairs and enjoy the pleasant sunshine against a backdrop of tropical plants. The breeze apartments are ideal for couples looking for a romantic escape.

The open kitchen features a range of modern appliances, tea and coffee making facilities and a combi oven, meaning couples can enjoy their privacy and spend time together without any interruptions. Dinner can be enjoyed on the outdoor table on your balcony, and afterwards, dishes can be cleaned quickly and easily in the apartment’s dishwasher.

The apartment also consists of a cosy living area with armchairs and a flat-screen tv, and a modern bathroom with a large shower. Each room is cleaned and linen and towels are replaced every 3 days. Guests can also receive clean towels from reception.

The 32 Aura Apartments are all located on the ground floor and first floor. These accommodations are perfect for families, catering for up to 4 guests. Both of the two bedrooms feature a comfy double bed and air-conditioning in order to keep the climate pleasant.

Guests can enjoy time together either gathered around the dining table on the large balcony, or indoors in the lounge area which features a flat-screen tv and comfy seats. The apartments are built out of sustainable fair-trade materials and are set amongst the green tropical plants and colourful birdlife. The Regal Apartments are newly built and fitted with a host of modern conveniences including a swimming pool area that features 2 pools and an array of sunbeds that lie both in the warm sunshine and in the comfortable shade. Guests can also enjoy spending time outside on their large private terrace, guarded by the tropical plants that surround these luxury apartments.

Here, you will find a dining and seating area for enjoying meals with your group or family, whilst admiring the beautiful salt marshes. The regal apartments can cater for up to 4 guests, and there is an option for interleading accommodations for guests staying in a group of 8. Both bedrooms in each apartment consist of large double beds and air-conditioning. The apartments also feature a bathroom with a walk-in shower and an additional toilet. The 11 Ambiente Villas can each cater for up to 8 guests, with 4 spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms and 2 lounge areas that can be separated via lockable doors. The bedrooms all have double beds, and guests can relax in either of the two lounges, both of which include comfy seating and a flat-screen tv.

The villas are all recent additions to the resort, built with a modern design and updated features, such as the telephone and free wi-fi which guests can use to keep in touch with loved ones back home. Both of the villa’s 2 bathrooms include a spacious walk-in shower, and there are two additional toilets. Each room is cleaned and linen and towels are replaced every 3 days.

Meals can be enjoyed outdoors on the covered verandah which includes both a dining area and an outdoor seating area. The vast space is perfect for enjoying the tropical gardens and the beautiful scenery of the salt marshes. Guests can escape the heat in one of the swimming pools, including a family pool and a paddling pool for toddlers.

Guests can enjoy delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from Morena’s Restaurant Fuego. The restaurant includes an outdoor terrace where guests can admire the salt marshes and Curacao’s wetlands. Breakfast usually consists of fresh tropical fruit, natural ingredients, and eggs cooked to your preference at the wok station.

Guests are able to choose between a refreshing salad or pizza at lunchtime, and dinner can be selected from a variety of tasty options from Fuego’s a la carte menu. Restaurant Fuego also has a daily happy hour, when guests can enjoy discounted cocktails, and there are weekly live music events.

Learn to scuba dive at the local diving school. Curacao is an ideal location for new divers to develop as there are few strong currents and river runoff, and the waters are a pleasant temperature throughout the year. Explore stunning coral reefs and swim alongside rays, fish and sea turtles as you explore the bottom of the ocean.

Guests can arrange to go on a number of watersports including surfing, snorkelling, wakeboarding, supping, and kayaking in the Jan Thiel area. Explore the coast from the water and enjoy splashing around in the cooling sea. In the crystal waters of the Caribbean, visibility is good, meaning guests can clearly spot the coral reefs and marine life while in the ocean.

Embark on a tranquil sailing trip to Klein Curacao, a small uninhabited island to the Southeast of Curacao. Guests can enjoy Klein Curacao’s white sandy beaches, as well as explore the abandoned lighthouse and marooned shipwrecks. The island is flat with little vegetation and it is recommended to wear sunscreen and visit early before the temperatures become too hot.

Visit the De Zoutpannen nature reserve and see the iguanas and flamingos who have made this protected area their home. Explore the wetlands, salt marshes and cactus fields, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by nature.

For the construction of our Resort, sustainable, environmentally friendly materials from fair-trade cooperatives in the region were deliberately used and all kinds of environmentally friendly techniques were applied. For example, every apartment/villa has a solar water heater on the roof, which provides hot water all day with only a few hours of sunshine.’

Morena Resort uses paperless check-in and check-out systems, and online messaging services and email to arrange bookings and contact guests. Staff are also encouraged to print documents only when necessary, and payslips are delivered via email. This is to reduce to amount of paper wasted and to protect trees.

Morena Resort is a car-free accommodation. Cars can park for free in the resort’s car park, but are not permitted around the resort. Instead, guests can use carts to travel and take their children to the beach. This reduces carbon emissions as less pollution is being generated and less petrol consumed, and also means that parents can also relax knowing that their children are safe from nearby cars.
