Food Sustainability

This also reduces the lodge’s carbon footprint due to not needing to contribute to air miles when purchasing food.

Replanting indigenous plants

To preserve the natural environment, the lodge has planted indigenous plants which are harvested and then replanted around the lodge including its waterhole.

Desert Lion Project

The lodge is proud to support the Desert Lion Project. This is a small non-profit organisation that is dedicated to the conservation of the desert. Their main focus is to collect important base-line ecological data on the lion population and to study their behaviour. This information is then used to find a solution to the human-lion conflict within the area and to contribute to the species’ conservation.
