Rooms
The style and simplicity of rural Brazil is stored in the 8 apartments available at the Pousada Refugio da Ilha. They are properly equipped with private bathrooms, hot showers, air conditioning, a ceiling fan, king-size beds, screened windows and products for bed and bath. Replacement and hygiene room service occur daily or as requested. The Pousada has charming internal and external nooks, such as a video room, a living room, a small library, a shop and two balconies. There are two restaurants – each with its bar – one for dinner and breakfast and another external by the Salobra River for a delicious lunch. There is an external bathroom, gloriettes around the inn and a deck for river appreciation and diving. Guests are also provided with easy and fast internet access during their stay.
Zero Hora

Zero Hora is a great local place to grab something to eat, and a good place to stop before heading out onto the Pantanal. There’s plenty available on the menu, including meals with lots of vegetables and grilled meats, and fresh fruits and delicious flans for dessert. Plenty of cool drinks are provided letting you cool down in the intense heat, and the self-service system means that you get a wide range of choices as to what you want to put in your dish.

Diner

Fine dining is provided at the Pousada itself, and an excellent selection is on offered to suit your gastronomical needs. For breakfast, fresh fruits, cereals, natural yoghurts, breads and more. A lunch buffet is provided, with dessert included, and offers a variety of vegetables, salads and regional dishes, and dinner is provided in the evening with a lighter and international cuisine.

The menu derives directly from the abundant providing’s of the countries farms, including servings of the best Brazilian meats and accompanied by a strong helping of delicious vegetables sourced from the nearby vegetable garden in Miranda, naturally farmed and free of pesticides.

Tours

Seeing as the accommodation is surrounded by water, it makes sense that you would be provided with the opportunity to take to the waters of the surrounding lakes, and take a tour through them. Boat tours are provided both upstream and downstream to see the many quarters of this wide environmental wonder, with chances to take in the many streams, bays and ebbs along the way. Jeep tours through the different parts of the island are also provided.

Canoeing

Take to the rivers in a canoe for a memorable experience, as you journey down the twisty and turning waterways of the Pantanal. Seeing as the rivers are frequently used for travel by locals, this is the perfect way to immerse yourself into what it might be like to actually live out in the Pantanal region, as you pass fishermen and other locals on their way about their lives. This is a calming, exciting and thrilling way to experience the wetlands, and the canoes can be taken out from the main hotel island.
