Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Lodge

Chitwa Chitwa Private Game Lodge is a family-owned and run sanctuary which has been in the Brink family for over 40 years. Nestled in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Chitwa Chitwa overlooks one of the largest dams in the reserve, offering guests tranquil views of the water, as well as the sweeping savannah landscape. The lodge takes its name from an old giraffe bull who resided by the lakeside retreat, and today an abundance of spectacular wildlife surrounds the lodge, allowing guests to view game from the comfort of the spacious suites and bedrooms. Changa Safari Camp

Changa Safari Camp is situated on the shores of the beautiful Lake Kariba, offering guests stunning views of Kariba’s sapphire waters and the Matusadona mountains. The camp was founded by the Preston and Higgins families, who wanted other families to be able to visit the beautiful and rugged landscape of Matusadona National Park and appreciate the stunning and diverse natural surroundings, as well as the incredible creatures that live here. The 6 deluxe tents and 2 family rooms are set amongst the small trees that stand along the lake’s shore, offering views over the water and the sweeping landscape. The camp’s main area is a hub of entertainment and relaxation, with a refreshing lakeside swimming pool, lounge area and bar.

Mantis Akagera Game Lodge

Akagera National Park, offers a truly exceptional wildlife experience. It is the only Big-5 reserve in Rwanda, and is also home to the rare swamp-dwelling Sitatunga. Guests also have the opportunity to see an abundance of birdlife, including the rare Shoebill stork, the endangered papyrus Gonolex and the much sought-after Red-faced Barbet. With over 500 recorded species, Akagera is one of the best birding environs in the world with the highest recorded number of species per unit area. The Park has a unique diversity of habitats, including lakes, marshes, savannah, mountains and woodland, and is the largest protected wetland in central Africa. Mantis Akagera Game Lodge stands on a hill at the southern tip of the Akagera National Park elevated above the savannah, with exceptional views of Lake Ihema.

Magashi

Situated in the diverse and productive north-eastern corner of Akagera National Park, Magashi overlooks the stunning Lake Rwanyakazinga and offers guests views of the scenic savannah in all its glory. Established in partnership with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and African Parks, the camp demonstrates their commitment to pioneering sustainable and authentic ecotourism in Rwanda. Their core Purpose here is to help conserve Rwanda’s last protected savannah ecosystem, and species like black rhino and the rare and elusive shoebill; furthermore, their presence in Akagera National Park will contribute towards enabling it to become economically self-sufficient for the first time. Guests who stay here can witness the stunning work in place and take part in activities that celebrate the surroundings such as boating, game drives and birding.

Crater Safari Lodge

Crater Safari Lodge is situated on the very edge of Kibale National Park, and overlooks the second largest crater lake in Uganda. The Lodge consists of a large and spacious main lounge and dining area, with a high thatched roof and cosy sofas and armchairs placed around with breathtaking views over the lake and surroundings. Honeymoon suites offer the very best in luxury, the suite is authentic, with a large cosy bed and a deep bathtub in the ensuite. Greystoke Mahale

Greystoke Mahale lies on the white sands of Lake Tanganyika’s shore, facing out over the crystal water. The lodge and six luxury rooms stand against the backdrop of dense forest and sub-tropical greenery that sprawl along the base of the 8000 ft tall Mahale Mountains. The remote camp offers guests a private and exclusive break from civilisation where you can relax and enjoy the diverse landscape that the BaTongwe tribe once called home. Broadly spaced along the lakeshore, Siwandu’s superbly appointed accommodation ensures maximum privacy and every opportunity to soak up the sights and sounds of the purest African bush. The ten spacious octagonal tents allows guests to observe animals as they saunter past while reclining on the majestic king sized bed under the overhead fan or from the open-air stargazer showers which adjoin the en-suite bathrooms.

Loldia House

In the Great Rift Valley, where continents collide, Lake Naivasha is host to a myriad of spectacular wildlife, including the Big 5, as well as vibrant birdlife, and a few incredibly rare animals, such as the furtive mountain bongo, which resides on the slopes of the Eburru volcano, in its verdant forest. Loldia House sits on the north-western shore of Lake Naivasha, and basks in the serene views over the lake towards Mount Longonot. After its 2018 refurbishment, the traditional farmhouse has been reformed to encapsulate the classic elegance of a place steeped in history. Loldia’s infinity pool positioned on a rocky outcrop between two ancient fig trees, and commands spectacular views out over the lake. Chic cottages provide a light and airy atmosphere for guests to settle into.
