Vumbura Plains

Vumbra Plains is a luxury, modern-style safari camp which is run on solar power to help protect its diverse surroundings. The surrounding wildlife is stunning and varied, delivering an authentic safari experience. Game drives are stunning here as the terrain is game-rich; filled with wandering elephants, giraffes and hippos. Between two separate, but linked camps, there are 14 elevated, spacious and contemporary rooms filled with luxury touches including private plunge pools and salas. Situated within Botswana’s famous Okavango Delta, which became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2014, the diverse landscape is a gem of Africa and truly outstanding. Small islands, channels, lagoons and untamed, crystal clear waterways are waiting to be explored. Empowerment opportunities have been created in this area of the delta through partnerships with local communities.

Bushman Plains Camp

Bushman Plains Camp is Botswana’s first Bushman-owned Safari Camp in the Heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp is located within a 370,000-acre wilderness, utilising a prime wildlife area where only one other camp operates, making this arguably Botswana’s most intimate and bespoke safari retreat. Highly skilled indigenous bushman guides and trackers lead your daily activities. Game drives are conducted in open 4×4 safari vehicles and facilitate off road and night-time driving, providing optimum conditions for intimate, around the clock game viewing with a host of added benefits exclusive to Bushman Plains Camp.

Seba Camp

Seba Camp is situated on the stunning Abu Concession nestled in amongst majestic hardwood trees, in the Okavango Delta. The camp overlooks a perennial lagoon and is surrounded by open grassland, offering wildlife encounters from land and water-based activities. This camp caters well for families, with two out of the eight luxury tents designed for families with their own plunge pools and sandpit. Seba Camp runs on 100% solar power, to help ensure a light environmental footprint. Built in 2006, the camo has been nominated for Best Hotel in Travel + Leisure 2021 awards with each tent in the camp celebrating a different ethnic group of Botswana through its authentic, colourful décor. Wilderness Safaris was founded in Botswana in 1983 and is dedicated to the conservation of the magnificent biodiversity of the Okavango Delta.

Pelo Camp

Pelo Camp, remotely situated in amongst towering palm, jackalberry and Natal mahogany trees, gets its name from the shape of the island it sits on – ‘Pelo’ being the Setswana word for heart. This small, peaceful island hideaway makes it easy for guests to fall in love with the surrounding nature and Botswana. Pelo is a small camp, with five tents, each with their own private veranda allowing for unparalleled views of the Okavango Delta and a main tented dining and lounge area. Mokoro excursions are emphasised at Pelo Camp – silently gliding on the surrounding water is a perfect way to connect to the Okavango Delta and the heritage of this region.

Mapula Lodge

Located just outside of Moremi Game Reserve, Mapula Lodge lies deep in the Okavango Delta. Boasting 9 luxury chalets which are inviting and unique, filled with locally handcrafted safari-chic furnishings, the atmosphere is ethereal and earthy. The main area’s commodious viewing deck includes soft, inviting sofas overlooking the hippo-filled lagoon. The majestic riverine flora around the lodge is home to a great variety of birds; game viewing, in open vehicles, is excellent in this area. The guides at Mapula Lodge have been trained by legendary Ralph Bousfield, who was inspired and trained by his father Jack, who loved adventure. Always passionate about conservation, Ralph and his mother established Botswana’s first Wildlife Orphanage and Education Centre.

Camp Maru

Okavango Hidden Gems Camp Maru, in addition to the closely situated sister camp Amber River Camp is situated within the NG32 Concession towards the very southeasterly end of the Okavango Delta, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is accessed via transfer from Maun, followed by a game drive to the final location. Camp Maru looks out amongst a winding lagoon, with comfortable and airy 4-star pitched canvas accommodation that oversees spectacular vistas over the surround bush. Accommodation comes complete with en-suite facilities and a range of modern amenities.

Little Tubu

Little Tubu shares Hunda Island with its larger sister camp, benefitting from the dry-land location surrounded by seasonally inundated floodplains. Little Tubu offers an intimate safari experience, combining the luxury of privacy and seclusion with access to some of the most bountiful game viewing in all of Botswana. The three luxury guest tents that make up Little Tubu peer out from under the shade of a grove of riverine trees. Kiri Camp

Kiri Camp owes its name to the Kiri channel which flows passed the island on which the camp is situated – between the Boro River and the Kiri River, about 20km’s south-west of Chiefs Island. The camp is raised on wooden decks, providing astonishing vistas over the expansive Kiri floodplains which stretch out north of the camp. Kiri Camps luxury tented units benefit from their location beneath the surrounding ebony forest, facilitating cool and airy accommodation shaded from the extremes of midday heat. Both standard and family size en-suite tents accommodate a maximum of 24 total guests, ensuring an intimate stay for all. Kiri Camp benefits from its unique location within the NG32 Concession, not only for the bountiful game viewing and water-bound activities inherent to its location, but for the additional activities permitted to the private concession such as spotlight lit evening game drives.
