Safari Lodge on Amakhala

The stylish Safari Lodge on Amakhala is nestled amongst the indigenous bush, offering guests a private and secluded home away from home where they can enjoy their luxurious safari adventure. The charming thatched lodge and safari huts are inspired by African tribal design, with modern touches such as a private plunge pool overlooking the wilderness and a bath filled with aromatherapy scented bubbles. Kariega Ukhozi Lodge

Kariega Ukhozi Lodge rests within the 10,000-hectare Kariega Game Reserve, overlooking the rolling hills and lush green valleys of the Eastern Cape bushveld. Featuring 10 spacious and luxurious log-built suites, the lodge enjoys the perfect location for viewing the incredible local wildlife including the famous Big 5 and a plethora of amazing bird species, and guests can delight in exploring the verdant landscape of the private reserve with two daily game drives.
Admire the endless treetop and river valley views from the comfort of the refreshing swimming pool, or escape to your very own private plunge pool and enjoy a relaxing soak in the cooling waters. Karoo Lodge at Samara

Karoo Lodge is situated within the peaceful Samara Private Game Reserve, surrounded by 27,000-hectare of pristine wilderness and resting in the shade of a natural amphitheatre of mountains. The lodge features a warm and inviting living room with a luxurious bar area and cosy fireside seating. A large dining room with a fireplace is used for indoor dinners during the chilly winter evenings, and when the weather is pleasant, guests can enjoy romantic candlelit dinners out on the verandah, or in the boma, a traditional reed enclosure warmed by a roaring fire. The pool is fenced off from the spacious main lawn and has a covered gazebo area for warm summer evenings.
Karoo Lodge consists of nine double rooms and can cater for solo travellers, couples and families. The lodge can also be booked for the exclusive use of up to 18 guests, offering an incredible private safari experience in this tranquil and comfortable setting.

Sibuya River Camp

A fascinating 11km boat-ride up the Estuary from the seaside village of Kenton-on-Sea brings you to the jetty at River Camp. Only four spacious luxury en-suite tents skilfully hidden in the riverine forest maximize privacy for each tent and ensure an exclusive and personalised experience. Every tent has its own cosy fireplace to ensure a snuggly warm environment on chillier nights. Professional and passionate staff ensure a time to be spoilt and make memories to treasure. The Camp recommended for families with children visiting Sibuya. These enormous 75 m2 tents with sleeper couches that convert to two single beds for children sharing, ensure plenty of space for the whole family.

Kwandwe Great Fish River Lodge

Kwandwe Great Fish River Lodge rests within a remote section of a private reserve, offering guests an exclusive stay with uninterrupted views of the sweeping wilderness. The rustic yet modern main building blends into the natural landscape and features large viewing decks to allow guests the best views of the surrounding nature, and the perfect spot for watching glorious sunsets or the incredible kudu as they meander down to the river for a drink.
 
The lodge consists of nine independent suites, all of which feature private plunge pools and a thatched terrace where guests can admire the passing wildlife, including the Big 5, and watch the many different species of birds fly over to the river. At night, the lack of light pollution allows for dazzling star-filled skies and guests can unwind with a refreshing beverage from your in-room bar before snuggling up in your king-sized bed and falling asleep to the sounds of the wilderness.

Ant’s Nest

Surrounded by the thick bushveld and sweeping plains of Waterberg, Ant’s Nest offers guests a traditional safari stay in the heart of the South African wilderness. Offering a variety of suites, guests can choose what suits them best, but all are stylish and comfortable, giving off an authentic safari atmosphere. Guests can spend their evenings unwinding on their verandahs, keeping an eye out for grazing animals in the plains next to them. Spend your days exploring the bushveld on a game drive, guided walk, mountain bike ride, or a horse riding safari. Return to the lodge after a long day for a quick dip in the heated swimming pool before a hearty and warming home-style cooked meal.

Ant’s Hill

Perched on a cliff that offers sweeping views over the luscious valley, Ant’s Hill is rustic and authentic, offering a traditional yet comfortable safari stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are spacious and bright, all with private deckings where guests can enjoy gazing over the endless horizons. Guests can spend their days exploring the Waterberg, on a traditional game drive or guided walk, a dip in the heated pool, or a local village trip. One of the specialities on offer at Ant’s Hill is their horse riding safaris. Gallop through the wild Waterberg with the wind in your hair, becoming a part of nature. Nestled in amongst the vivid and luscious trees of Madikwe Game Reserve sits Jaci’s Tree Lodge. 4m high and connected by wooden walkways, the lodge immerses guests in the raw, untamed wilds of South Africa while offering them a luxury and relaxing safari stay. 8 treehouse-style suites place guests in the heart of their surroundings, opening up to let the outside breezes fill the suite, and are decorated with splashes of colour found in scatter cushions and patterned rugs.

With only three mobile tents exclusiveness is guaranteed, and being located in the middle of the vast plains will make guests feel as if they’re in the heart of nature. Spend your days exploring the reserve on foot for an added sense of immersion, and marvel at the untouched and pristine beauty of this corner of Little Karoo. Return to the mobile camp for a relaxing swing in the hammock underneath the trees before enjoying a delicious dinner and refreshing drink around the fire where you can remain for some after-dinner stargazing.
