Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp

Perched on an escarpment overlooking the outstretched plains below, Loisaba Tented Camp enjoys the expanses of the Loisaba Conservancy set before it. The 57,000-acre conservancy is home to one of Kenya’s thriving lion populations, and the Tented Camp enjoys a close proximity to a vital elephant corridor. The conservancy is also home to notable northern species, such as Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich, which are less common in Kenya’s southern conservancies. Guests are accommodated by incredibly friendly staff, and are hosted in luxury tents, which enjoy sublime views from their position atop the dramatic escarpment, elevated above the landscape, where sublime views can be enjoyed from tent, veranda, or from the Tented Camp’s divine infinity pool.

Basecamp Masai Mara

Along the banks of the Talek River, Basecamp Masai Mara has made its home. Guests find their sanctum alongside this thriving ecosystem in the world famous Masai Mara. Frequent guests to the Talek River are the exhilarating copper tail and vervet monkeys of the Masai Mara, who never fail to entertain and delight with their primate wit, and invariably their indelible capacity for mischief! Mara Expedition Camp offers a chic, nostalgic and adventurous experience. It is unique to the industry and sits perfectly with the expert hospitality, specialised guiding and design that have become signature to the Great Plains Conservation. Guests visiting here will get the best of both safari worlds – the vibrant Maasai Mara ecosystem and the more private 70,000-acre Mara North Conservancy. The core of the camp’s ethos is the learning from and respecting of nature, where the Maasai Mara itself is the teacher. Unlike some other locations, there is a higher density of predators in the area so there is a constant reminder that the wilderness is not ours and must be respected at all times.

Richard’s Camp

Richard’s River Camp was initially established as owners Richard and Liz’s “home from home” in 2006 but Richard’s family have lived in Kenya since the late 1940s and his father was involved in forming the Ol Choro Oiroua Conservancy, which was where Richard grew up from the age of 3. On her various travels, Liz has brought back beautiful fabrics and furniture to decorate the camp, really giving that personal touch that’ll make guests feel right at home. The Camp offers a luxury camp experience in the heart of the Maasai Mara. With just 7 tents, it’s a prime location for those with privacy and peace and quiet in mind. A permanent water supply is provided by the Ngoyanai springs, attracting cohorts of animals to the camp’s surroundings. The River Camp is newer than its sister location, the Forest Camp, promising facilities that are more modern and contemporary.
