Segera Retreat

Segera lies in the high grasslands of the Laikipia Plateau, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. In this Malaria-free region of Africa, guests enjoy a rich ecosystem which is host to lion, elephant, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, and endangered species such as Grevy’s Zebra, and Lelwel Hartebeest. Segera boasts six beautiful garden villas, and four exquisite houses, from the modern Segera Greenhouse to the traditional Segera House with exquisite Swahili refinements, and the renovated original Farmhouse of the former ranch at Segera.

Elewana Kifaru House

A retreat to Kifaru House is a retreat to a gorgeous bijou property set in a timeless landscape. A vibrant oasis, where the wilderness meets comfort in a sanctum of luxury and nature. During the day, Game Drives across the world renowned Lewa Conservancy enthral guests with magnificent sightings of the Big 5, as well as a vibrant rhino population, a result of one of East Africa’s most triumphant conservation efforts. Kifaru hosts five traditional thatched cottages, where guests are able to unwind after the day’s activities as inflections of African design infuse their relaxation with local culture.

Lewa House

Lewa House is a safari lodge that rests on a hilltop, overseeing the rolling hills, plunging valleys and The Scared Mountain, Mount Ololokwe. The lodge is owned by Calum and Sophie Macfarlane and has a comfortable family atmosphere. Meals are served around a large communal table and the lodge also includes a lounge area where guests can get together and swap exciting safari stories with one another. The exclusive camp consists of just three cottages and four earth pod rooms, all of which are built from natural materials and designed to blend into the landscape and maintain the natural beauty of the area. Lewa House is located at the heart of the Lewa Conservancy, a wildlife sanctuary that spans 62,000-acres and is home to 15% of Kenya’s critically endangered black rhino population.

Lewa Wilderness

Tucked away amongst the tall trees that crown the hillside overlooking the Eastern Marania Valley, rests Lewa Wilderness – a picturesque safari lodge where guests can enjoy the incredible wildlife and stunning landscapes within the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. With just nine cottages, all spaced apart for privacy, guests can enjoy an exclusive safari experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the heart of the wilderness. Lewa Wilderness has its own beautiful gardens, a peaceful space where guests can relax during the hottest part of the day, and enjoy a good book from the lodge’s library. You can also take a refreshing dip in the lodge’s pool, which looks out over the endless plains, and relax in the shaded lounge area beside the water. Unwind at the lodge and enjoy its tranquil atmosphere between exciting safari activities.

Olarro Lodge

Olarro Lodge rests high in the hills, secluded from the rest of the world. Here, guests can enjoy an exclusive safari experience within Kenya’s astounding Maasai Mara region. The lodge is located within a 20,000-acre conservancy which is only open to guests at Olarro. Guests can feel free to explore the wilderness at their own pace. There are no fixed schedules at Olarro Lodge, meaning that you can tailor the day around your own interests and routines. Enjoy exciting activities such as game drives and quad biking across the savannah plains, or have a relaxing spa treatment and spend a day lounging beside the pool while gazing out over the sweeping grasslands.

Sabuk Lodge

Sabuk Lodge is a remote haven, situated at the edge of the Northern Laikipia Plateau. The lodge rests atop a cliff that offers guests beautiful views of the Ewaso Nyiro River and the rolling hills that arc across the horizon. Gaze across the Laikipia plains that lead to Mount Kenya and experience stunning views of the Karisa Hills and Mathews Mountains. Take the opportunity to venture into the wilderness on the back of a camel and meander around the rocky outcrops and clusters of trees that are dotted around the valley. Guests will be able to enjoy a range of fun activities such as safaris, nature walks and fishing and swimming in the Ewaso Niyiro River before returning to camp, where a delicious meal will be waiting in the cosy dining area which looks out across the sloping plains. Some of the cottages feature a star bed, which allows guests to lie out and spend an entire night under the twinkling stars.

Saruni Mara

Saruni Mara Camp is a small boutique lodge in the heart of the private Mara North Conservancy (MNC), the only one of its kind in the Mara and is marked out by the vibrant character of its Italian owners. Elewana Elsa’s Kopje Meru

Elewana Elsa’s Kopje is a timelessly elegant lodge in an equally spectacular location within the Meru National Park. The bond between the two is a special one – the National Park was popularised by George and Joy Adamson, who authored a book about their experiences rehabilitating lions; the book was made into a film entitled ‘Born Free’ starring Virginia McKenna, who became one of the lodge’s founders, and the revenue made by Elsa’s Kopje single-handedly saved the Park from quite literally disappearing off the map. Blending seamlessly into the slopes of Mughwango Hill, Elsa’s Kopje is blessed with cinematic views of the Meru plains that guests can relish from the decks of their luxury cottages.
