Nyamatusi Mahogany

Nyamatusi Mahogany is a small and intimate camp, perfect for families who are looking for a personal and authentic safari experience in a comfortable, child-friendly setting. The Ngwana Club provides a range of fun and educational activities for children, and the family suites are positioned closest to the main area so that younger guests can easily reach it without having to walk through the wilderness. The camp is made up of just four suites, two of which are family suites, which all overlook the tranquil waters of the Zambezi River from the pleasant shade of towering and ancient mahogany trees, from which the camp takes its name. Nyamatusi Mahogany has a natural design and is powered by solar energy, causing minimal disruption to the environment. Mana Pools is known as one of the last pioneer parks, and is a haven for explorers and nature-lovers due to its diverse landscape and rich wildlife population. Take a canoe along the river and view wildlife from a whole new perspective, or embark on a game drive to find the best spots for viewing wildlife alongside the camp’s knowledgable guides.

Little Vundu Camp

Little Vundu is a private and intimate camp that rests on the banks of the Zambezi River in the private Vundu Concession. The semi-permanent camp consists of 5 Meru style tents which are set up at the beginning of May and taken down on the last day of November when the rainy season causes the river to rise and the floodplains become too wet. This small and exclusive camp offers guests the chance to enjoy an authentic and rustic safari experience in the tranquil setting of the private concession. Guests will rarely see another safari vehicle, meaning that they can focus on the incredible wildlife of Mana Pools, the stunning birdlife, and the breathtaking scenery.
Little Vundu is owned by Nick and Desiree Murray, who are both qualified guides with nearly 60 years of experience between them. Nick Murray was the lead guide in the Painted Wolf episode of BBC’s Earth series, where he worked alongside Sir David Attenborough, and guests will be able to see these incredible creatures (also known as African Wild Dogs) while staying at Little Vundu Camp.

John’s Camp

John’s Camp is a semi-permanent safari camp that lies on the banks of the Zambezi River, nestled into the pleasant shade of towering Trichelia and Mahogany trees. The camp opens in May of each year, and guests can visit until November 15th, when the camp closes for the rainy season. 6 Meru style tents overlook the river’s tranquil waters and the rolling landscape beyond. Guests can gather by an evening campfire and enjoy interacting and sharing exciting safari stories over a meal. John’s Camp is situated within Mana Pools National Park, where guests can walk across the floodplains and get up close to the incredible wildlife that roams the diverse landscape. Watch the silhouettes of passing African Bull Elephant herds as you see off the end of another day with a refreshing sundowner, as trails of blazing pink and orange streak through the clear skies.

Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge

Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge lies on the edge of the Gonarexhou National Park, surrounding by lush vegetation and towering trees and overlooking the tranquil waters of the Save River. From the comfort of the lodge’s spacious patio, guests will be able to spot lounging hippos, basking crocodiles and herds of elephants as they rest on the riverbanks. The lodge is light and airy, with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Guests can enjoy the natural beauty of the area while escaping to the cooling shade and interacting with fellow travellers. Anabezi Camp

Anabezi Camp is located on the banks of the sparkling Zambezi River, in the wilds of the Lower Zambezi National Park. The local environment is protected by the design of the camp, all tents are built on stilts to maintain the ecosystems of the land. Guests can stay in one of 12 modern and spacious tents, sophisticatedly decorated with modern furniture and comfortable touches, such as cosy sofas and soft cushions. Spend the afternoon in the glistening swimming pool with a view, so no meandering animals are missed. Or adventure around the park on a game drive or walking safari, both excellent ways to immerse yourself in nature. Glide peacefully along the river at sunset in a boat or canoe, keeping an eye on the river banks for any wading birds or thirsty animals. In the evenings enjoy dining under the wide sky on a deck which overlooks the river, and enjoy a drink around the fire pit, sharing stories from your day with your fellow guests.

Amanzi Camp

Located on the riverbanks of the Zambezi River, in the diverse wilderness of the Lower Zambezi National Park lies Amanzi Camp. This camp is exclusive and private, nestled in amongst trees, allowing guests an authentic, private, and unique stay in the heart of nature. With only 4 traditional safari tents, guests can enjoy the peace and quiet with only bird song and sounds of flowing water filling the air. A unique verandah at the end of the tents offers the perfect space to unwind and relax in hanging chairs, gazing out over the vast Zambezi. A comfortable main area is where dinner is served, and guests can grab a drink from the bar and watch as the sun sets, gazing through the open sides, over the stunning vista. Connection and immersion within nature is a key theme of the activities on offer, from game drives and walking safaris to canoeing along the gentle waters of the river; each activity will place you in the centre of nature.

Chiawa Camp

Located on the banks of the Zambezi River, in the diverse Lower Zambezi National Park is Chiawa Camp. On offer is a traditional and authentic safari experience with unique and luxury touches throughout your stay. The suites at this camp are comfortable and homely, but with wide floor to ceiling windows and doors, you won’t forget the stunning beauty which surrounds you. Outside every safari tent is a stone lounge/plunge pool area – and a large sparkling pool sits outside the safari suite – which are perfect for cooling down during hot afternoons. A carbon neutral certified camp, walking safaris and canoeing trips are available to guests, to explore the national park whilst connecting to nature. Game drives are also offered, with their carbon emissions offset by the purchase of special carbon credits. The food served at Chiawa camp is fresh and delicious, served in the bush under the wide starry skies, surrounded by the wild nature of this beautiful corner of Zambia.

Baines’ River Camp

Located on the banks of the sparkling Zambezi River is the exclusive Baines’ River Camp. Nestled in among Jackalberry and Tamarind trees, the camp is immersed in nature and surrounded by the wilds of Zambia. The suites here are luxurious and comfortable, with spacious open plan rooms and private verandahs with comfortable sofas which offer a view of the river. Chongwe River Camp

Surrounded by pristine wildlife is Chongwe River Camp. Sat on the edge of both the Zambezi River and Chongwe River the camp is authentic and luxurious, exuding a sense of peace and exclusivity with only 9 safari tents. The tents are comfortable and spacious, filled with bright natural light and with unparalleled river views of the sparkling Chongwe.
