National Parks
There are three national parks you can visit from Amaya Beach. Minneriya National Park, Maduru Oya National Park, and Wasgamuwa National Park all offer the opportunity to see elephant gatherings. Going to at least one park is must for wildlife lovers.
On-Site Activities
If you want to spend some time out of the eye of the sun, Amaya Beach has an indoor play room with chess, table tennis, and carom. If you want to play a sport outside there’s a range to try such as badminton, volleyball (water and beach), cricket, and croquet. You can also rent a bike and see the resort and beach that way.
Watersports
Whether you want to be in the water or on it, there’s an activity you can try. Diving and snorkelling will give you an up close and personal view of the world beneath the waves while canoeing and kayaking will let you relax on the surface. If you fancy adventure and something faster, then the speed boat rides and jet skiing are for you. You can also try windsurfing, banana boat rides, glass bottom boat, sailing, and fishing.
