The on-site pool is a blissful location that is perfect if you just want to dip in for a few laps. Even if you’re not looking for a swim, it’s an ideal place to sit down and enjoy the tangy flavours of your cocktail as you watch the waves gently greet the shore.

The beaches of the Quirimbas Archipelago are an important feeding and nesting ground for Sea Turtles, and hatching season runs from October through to April. Nothing is guaranteed; however, if you visit during this period and lady luck is on your side, you may just witness the magical moment when a new turtle hatches and joins us in the world.

It would be a shame to waste the unique opportunities that staying on an island brings you, so don’t forget to spend some time getting involved with some water-based fun. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are relaxing ways of getting on the ocean, as are the opportunities to sail on a traditional dhow boat, either under the sun or as it dips below the horizon. Guests with a more thrillseeking nature can get wet and wild with some waterskiing, monoskiing or wakeboarding.

Those of a more explorative persuasion may be interested in a spot of snorkelling or scuba diving, which will allow them to discover the underwater wonders of the lagoon.

Marlins, Dorados, Barracudas…the Quirimbas Archipelago is a premium spot for big-game fishing due to its mixture of shallow waters and deep channels. Keen fishers will enjoy every second here as they look to catch some of the most iconic fish in the ocean. Please note that these expeditions are strictly catch and release only.

Dolphins love playing in these warm, tropical waters all year round, so there is a good chance of you spotting some during your stay. If your holiday occurs between July and October, you may also be lucky enough to some some humpback whales, who migrate through this area during that time of year.
