The Deluxe Rooms provide a spacious 60sqm and are completely intimate. The rooms are scattered on the hill side, the garden and down on the pristine beach. The Deluxe Rooms offer breath-taking views which can be admired from the private balcony terrace. The rooms accommodate 2 adults and are perfect for honeymooners, or couples simply looking for a secluded and tranquil room.

The Senior Suites are scattered either on the hill side, the lush garden or down on the beach. The suites provide a lavish bathroom that is equipped with both a bathtub and a shower, and an outdoor space with furniture. The suites consist of 65sqm and can accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child – although two of these suites are inter-connecting meaning, they are suitable for families or groups.

The Family Suites provide a charming, separate lounge and a veranda. The suites are very spacious – consisting of 120sqm, they also boast 2 bathrooms. The Family Suites are located on the top floor of the main building, offering unmatched and uninterrupted views, the suites can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children making them the ideal retreat for families.

La Gigolette opens its large windows and terrace right on the beach – guests can enjoy the gentle breeze and the stunning ocean view all whilst savouring delicious International or Creole dishes. Discover Curieuse Marine National Park and its full extent of natural treasures. This relatively small island has an intriguing and unique biodiversity; Curieuse is home to a significant collection of Seychelles’ endemic species, from giant tortoises introduced from Aldabra and endemic birds to the world’s biggest nut, the legendary coco de mer.

Visitors to this paradise are offered an array of outdoor experiences, from guided nature trails, which include the Baie Laraie to Anse Jose, and the Anse badamier Trail, bird watching of both land birds, sea birds and the abundant moorhen, as well as barbeques, snorkelling and diving.

Make sure to visit the mangrove swamp bordering Baie Laraie, one of the most interesting spots. A boardwalk was built on piling through the swamp, allowing visitors to access the mangrove habitat even at high tide. Plus, the old Doctor’s House, built in 1873 by Dr. William MacGregor, at Anse Jose, now a National Museum that has been converted into an Education and Information Centre. It provides extensive information about the islands’ history and through its various displays, it educates people about the island’s large variety of flora and fauna.

Hotel L’Archipel offers a variety of water sports to their guests, from leisure to adrenaline, there is something for everyone. Whether you fancy making a splash and practicing your balance on a paddle board or if you are wanting to explore the vibrant depths that the Seychelles are renowned for – L’Archipel has it all.

The hotel offers free activities for guests, allowing them to enjoy the beautiful ocean, these water activities include two-seater canoes, stand-up paddle boards (SUP), and snorkelling equipment such as masks, snorkels, and fins.

Though for the more daring, the hotel also provides other activities at an additional cost, such as deep-sea fishing, bottom fishing and scuba diving. Excursions to neighbouring Islands can also be arranged for a day of island hopping and pure bliss.

The highest point on Praslin, Grand Fond, better known to the locals as Zimbabwe, allows a view of several islands including Curieuse. As well as this, it is also the perfect place to catch a breath-taking sunset at an altitude of more than 300 metres.

Make your way up some of the steepest roads on the island and marvel at the views opening up around you. The road to Zimbabwe is outside the Praslin Nature Reserve and therefore is not enclosed by trees. This means you will get spectacular, panoramic views unlike anywhere else on Praslin. Hotel L’Archipel has introduced a food waste management programme to complement its existing good sustainability practice in power generation and eco-friendly cleaning systems. The L’Archipel initiative has led to international recognition for the hotel.

“We have been very happy to work with the Seychelles Sustainable Tourism Foundation and Pace Seychelles to further consolidate the hotel’s clear commitment to environmental protection and sustainable tourism in Seychelles. We use an intelligent energy management system in guest rooms which effectively reduces our AC energy consumption by 30% at no comfort cost to the guest. The property is quickly moving towards 100% LED lighting systems which, in an average guest room, reduces the power demand by a massive 80%. L’Archipel has also invested in 244 Solar PV Panels. Most electricity in Seychelles is still generated through the burning of diesel fuels and our PV system saves about 28,850 litres of diesel fuel annually. Not burning this fuel saves 76.8 metric tons of Carbon Dioxide annually, which is the equivalent of removing 16 petrol driven cars from the road permanently.”’

L’Archipel’s environmentally responsible business approach hopes to act as an inspiration and a realistic template for other tourism establishments. Together, both hotel and tourism can make a huge contribution to protecting the environment.

‘L’Archipel is using new technology to reduce the food waste produced by its guests. Food and beverage staff use software to anticipate food requirements and order and prepare accordingly, thereby maximising the amount of served food which is consumed and minimise the percentage which is left uneaten. L’Archipel staff and clients have already seen dramatic improvements in the way food is effectively managed at every stage of the chain – from the ordering and purchasing of food items to the disposal of ‘unavoidable’ waste.
