Located on the island paradise of Guadeloupe, Le Jardin Malanga is on the western island of Basse-Terre. The commune of Trois-Rivières, where Le Jardin Malanga is situated has a mixture of town, countryside, palm strewn beaches and tropical forests, ready to be explored. The mountainous terrain of Basse-Terre hides a treasure trove of hidden gems – such as many waterfalls. Guadeloupe National Park sits just above Le Jardin Malanga. The central volcano La Soufrière can be found here and the park showcases the very best of the islands diverse landscapes. Home to the Guadeloupe racoon, travellers may see a wandering mongoose, bats, colourful woodpeckers and hummingbirds as well as the small and camouflaged frogs and lizards.
Guests can access Le Jardin Malanga from flying into any one of Guadeloupe’s airports followed by a car drive to the hotel. The closet is the regional airport of Baillif Airport.

3 guests can enjoy the triple room. With a comfortable king size bed covered in fresh linens, and a single bed, this room also comes complete with a private bathroom. The room is kept cool through air conditioning and wide shuttered windows which allow the fresh Caribbean breeze to fill the room. With the house and room being built from dark wood the room feels traditional, authentic and rustic. The dark of the walls and ceiling contrasts beautifully with the vivid green and blue view from outside the window. Guests can enjoy a slow morning with a coffee in bed from the in-room coffee maker and enjoy the sunrise.
With two bedrooms, this is the perfect choice for a family. Consisting of a bedroom with a large king size bed and a bedroom with two single beds and a private bathroom and toilet for the two rooms. With dark polished floorboards and white painted walls and ceilings the space is kept traditional and bright. A decking area is the perfect space for guests to relax after a long day exploring and marvel at the luscious forests and distant sparkling ocean, basking in the warmth of the sunset.

A comfortable king size bed sits opposite a large sliding door which reveals stunning views of tropical trees and the endless horizon over the azure Caribbean Sea; all which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own bed. A private bathroom includes a deep bath with a view, and the private decking includes a pair of deck chairs and a hammock where guests can enjoy a gentle swing after a long day.
Enjoy meals eaten poolside, surrounded by vivid and colourful flora. Fresh food is prepared creatively by Chef Laurent and the menu is tailored everyday by the availability of fresh ingredients and produce from the local market. The cuisine is a mixture of Caribbean and French cuisine. Guests can enjoy breakfast or dinner here, or a French-style picnic basket can be prepared with which guests have the freedom to find their own dinner spot. Travel down to the coast to find numerous amounts of restaurants offering cuisines from Italian, barbecue and authentic Caribbean food.
Spend some time exploring the unique and diverse island. Parc national de la Guadeloupe is nearby and is full of hidden waterfalls, thermal pools and diverse flora and fauna. Guests can visit de Base Terre Botanical Garden or Parc Floral De Cantamerle. Jardin Botanique de Deshaies is slightly further away but worth the travel as you can see parrots and flamingo there. Hike up to La Soufrière, the volcano, to enjoy breathtaking views of the island paradise. Guests can also spend time exploring the nearby town, immersing themselves in the culture of the island or sunbathing on the sandy beaches.
Canyoning and aquatic hiking excursions can be arranged. Appreciate the beauty of the waterfalls from a new perspective and explore you way round the island on foot, abseiling, swimming and diving. A day swinging from the treetops awaits guests who organise an excursion at the Parc Accro Branch Le Tapeur. Walk from tree to tree on bridges, or zippiness and have fun whilst discovering the beautiful tropical forest. Explore the Parc des Mamelles from bridges suspended in the trees, view the unique animals from above and see if you can spot racoons, agouti, bats and the illusive jaguar.
