Amanzi Camp

Located on the riverbanks of the Zambezi River, in the diverse wilderness of the Lower Zambezi National Park lies Amanzi Camp. This camp is exclusive and private, nestled in amongst trees, allowing guests an authentic, private, and unique stay in the heart of nature. With only 4 traditional safari tents, guests can enjoy the peace and quiet with only bird song and sounds of flowing water filling the air. A unique verandah at the end of the tents offers the perfect space to unwind and relax in hanging chairs, gazing out over the vast Zambezi. A comfortable main area is where dinner is served, and guests can grab a drink from the bar and watch as the sun sets, gazing through the open sides, over the stunning vista. Connection and immersion within nature is a key theme of the activities on offer, from game drives and walking safaris to canoeing along the gentle waters of the river; each activity will place you in the centre of nature.

Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge

Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge lies on the edge of the Gonarexhou National Park, surrounding by lush vegetation and towering trees and overlooking the tranquil waters of the Save River. From the comfort of the lodge’s spacious patio, guests will be able to spot lounging hippos, basking crocodiles and herds of elephants as they rest on the riverbanks. Chiawa Camp

Located on the banks of the Zambezi River, in the diverse Lower Zambezi National Park is Chiawa Camp. On offer is a traditional and authentic safari experience with unique and luxury touches throughout your stay. The suites at this camp are comfortable and homely, but with wide floor to ceiling windows and doors, you won’t forget the stunning beauty which surrounds you. Outside every safari tent is a stone lounge/plunge pool area – and a large sparkling pool sits outside the safari suite – which are perfect for cooling down during hot afternoons. A carbon neutral certified camp, walking safaris and canoeing trips are available to guests, to explore the national park whilst connecting to nature. Game drives are also offered, with their carbon emissions offset by the purchase of special carbon credits. The food served at Chiawa camp is fresh and delicious, served in the bush under the wide starry skies, surrounded by the wild nature of this beautiful corner of Zambia.

Baines’ River Camp

Located on the banks of the sparkling Zambezi River is the exclusive Baines’ River Camp. Nestled in among Jackalberry and Tamarind trees, the camp is immersed in nature and surrounded by the wilds of Zambia. The suites here are luxurious and comfortable, with spacious open plan rooms and private verandahs with comfortable sofas which offer a view of the river. Wandering animals may meander past your suite, your dinner table or while you’re relaxing in the pool, reminding guests of the spectacular nature of this corner of Zambia. Enjoy meals around a crackling boma, or in a unique location in the bush or dine in the privacy of your room. Guests have a choice of ways to adventure and relax whilst here, from game drives through the bush to an enjoyable game of boules on the sandy banks of the river. At the end of the day grab a drink from the bar and unwind on the sofas in the lounge area, recalling memories from your day.

Chongwe River House

Chongwe River House represents award-winning safari design at its absolute finest. This charming, two storey, four bedroom private house is set on a serene stretch of the Chongwe River against a magnificent mountainous backdrop. The Chongwe area is well-know for its population of elephants which will frequently wander through the camp in search of seed pods from the winterthorn trees. Chongwe River House mixes smoothly into the tranquil river setting. The flowing curves and bends of the house become open living spaces that accentuate the surrounding wilderness. Waterfall showers, private open air bathtubs, furniture carved from a winterthorn tree and ceilings studded with river pebbles all combine to complete the inspired design. Bilimungwe Bushcamp

Looking over 3 natural waterholes with many herds of elephant, Bilimungwe Bushcamp is a hidden gem tucked away under huge mahogany trees. The 4 large thatched chalets sit on stilts and have magnificent views of one or two of the three watering holes. Bilimungwe has a magnificent secret breakfast spot on the edge of Luangwa Valley, perfect to watch the sunrise over the Chindeni hills, as well as a boma ready-made for surprise outdoor dinners under the stars!

Chongwe River Suites

Indulge in luxury and seclusion while immersing yourself in the wildest of settings! Wake up to birdsong as the sun rises over the Zambezi River, reflecting the colours all around you. Playful vervet monkeys will scamper through the canopy above as you watch a herd of elephants feed on the seed pods dropped from a nearby tree. Named for local, indigenous plants that grow in the area, the Cassia and Albida Suites are tucked under ancient towering trees at the convergence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers. The one-bedroom Cassia Suite is a private suite for two, perfect for honeymooners and couples, while the two-bedroom, two-bathroom Albida Suite sleeps four guests and is great for families or friends travelling together.

Flatdogs Camp

Flatdogs camp offers a blend of unique accommodations beside the South Luangwa National Park. From an opulent two bed-roomed tented house with private pool, to the wilder Jackalberry Treehouse built on platforms around four live Ebony trees, over-looking a game rich waterhole. The Chalet Suites are perfect for families and the Luxury Tents are spread out along the riverbank – offering the “Africa under canvas” experience – with elephant browsing around them and hippo grazing just outside. Even the Standard Safari Tents will spoil you with full en-suite facilities and panoramic landscapes. The South Luangwa National Park is one of the last great wildlife wonders of the world, covering 3,475 square miles of pristine wilderness in Zambia‘s Eastern Province. Chindeni Bushcamp

Located in an enviable location on the shores of a wildlife-infested lagoon is Chindeni, one of the most beautiful tented camps in the South Luangwa region. Sleeping in the wilds under canvas ignites a sense of adventure in everyone, and you will find exactly that sense here. That thrill is not at the expense of style and comfort, plenty of which is found in each of the four opulent tents. Your private veranda offers a sensational view of the lagoon, which attracts birds and animals from miles around. Feel free to settle back anytime with a gin-and-tonic in the central lounge and dining area, an elegant expanse of varnished decking arranged on several levels around the surrounding ebony trees. Again, this boasts the same spectacular view of the serene lagoon and its inhabitants.

Kaingo Camp

Overlooking the Luangwa River deep within the prime area of the South Luangwa National Park, Kaingo Camp offers endless beauty renowned for game viewing, providing guests with a safari journey they’ll never forget. Each chalet boasts a stunning outdoor bathtub with cool, shady views of the spectacular vistas. A special feature of Kaingo is the unique individual decks built out over the river in front of each chalet.
