Isandlwana Lodge

Isandlwana Lodge rests among the iNyoni rock formation, the viewing balcony carved into the Zululand Hills where the Zulu commander stood during the Battle of Isandlwana on January 22nd, 1879 as his warriors were preparing to fight off the invading British soldiers. Guests staying at Isandlwana Lodge are able to look back in time, learning about the stories of the Anglo-Zulu War, and how over 20,000 Zulu warriors defended their land and decimated the British troops. The lodge’s resident Historian, Rob Gerrard will be able to teach you all about the battles that took place at Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift.
