If waking up to perpetual summer sounds like bliss, then Félicité Island’s location outside the cyclone belt is for you. There are of course specific times for particular interests, so we’ve listed a few of the main ones.
March to May and September to November – Aficionados claim that the full adventures of diving are best from March to May and from September to November. However, we can organize PADI certified excursions with qualified dive centres from Praslin and La Digue all year round.
May to September – For visitors wishing to hike and walk nature trails, May through September offer the most temperate climate.
Mid-October to mid-January – Sea turtles come back year after year to our Grand Anse Beach to dig their nests and lay their eggs. Each nest is properly protected and signposted with information for guests.
Mid-December to mid-March – Turtle Hatchlings, tiny turtles erupt from their nest deep in the sand and begin their life-or-death race to the sea.
All year around – Sailing, fishing and snorkelling, these activities are recommended all year round although October to April claims to be the optimal period.
The resort, which occupies one third of the total land, is set on the island’s north side of Félicité Island facing La Digue, Praslin, Curieuse, Petit Soeur, Grande Soeur, Coco and Marianne islands. Félicité is a private island located 30 nautical miles (55 kilometres) northeast of Seychelles International Airport in Mahé. It is a short hop from Praslin or La Digue via speedboat or, for the more adventurous, via helicopter from Mahé.
Private speedboat transfers are available upon request and subject to weather conditions on the day of transfer. However, if you wish to fly over by helicopter you must reserve your seat in advance.
