The Bird’s Nest is a three-bedroom villa that offers you comfort wrapped in luxury. All the bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms with walk-in rain showers. Tiamo is home to three Cool Villas, all of which lead directly onto the beach and are surrounded by greenery and nature. The Cool Villas are raised on stilts to allow the breeze to blow under and around the villas to keep them cool. You can sit on the balcony at sunset with a cool drink and watch the beautiful view. The five Pool Villas sit right on the beautiful shore of the spectacular South Bight. The open-plan Pool Villas feature driftwood shades, reclaimed glass, and natural stone in theri interiors. Each bathroom features a double vanity and eco-friendly beauty products. The villas all include walk-in closets, a wet bar, and coffee-making facilities featuring fair-trade coffee and tea. The terraces offer private pools for you to swim in seclusion.

The Full Moon Villa features two bedrooms with one king bed and two twin beds. The villa is decorated in an elegant style and offers direct beach access as well as a gorgeous view. The private patio is the ideal place to sit and just relax.

The Starlight Villa is tucked away from the rest of the villas, giving you an idyllic hideaway surrounded by tropical Bahamian trees and flowers. The Caribbean-style villa combines dreamy hues of blue and white that soothe and relax you. The villa features a large living room, a bedroom with a king size bed, and two stylish bathrooms with a stone floor. Relax on the private terrace on one of the plush loungers, or take a dip in the private pool. South Andros offers you some brilliant offshore fishing. The “Tongue of the Ocean ” is a famous mile deep canyon which lies just one mile offshore.

Andros is known as the bone fishing capital of the world and Tiamo is situated right in the heart of it. Much of the area is a National Natural Reserve which offers you, the guest, incredible access to untapped, responsible fishing.

This is a beautiful spot for snorkelling. The clear waters off South Andros are teeming with colourful sea life. You could see angelfish, barracudas, stingrays, and parrotfish. Guided snorkelling is also available.

Discover the amazing area and its mangroves while taking a ride with the captains. If you want to control your own adventure try canoeing, paddling, or kayaking. You can even choose a transparent canoe and discover underwater life such as starfish, baby sharks, stingrays, and countless fish species.

There are three safari options to choose from. A half-day excursion on the water takes you West through the Southern Bight to a mangrove habitat that serves as a nursery for a range of marine species from sharks and sawfish, to turtles and dolphins. Or you can spend three hours on a private snorkelling trip with a marine biologist to a local blue hole and shallow reef spot. Alternatively, stay on land and join a local guide who will take you through the rugged inland of South Andros. See local medicinal plants and explore caves and inland blue holes.

Take it with you to the book or just stay on the sofa in the atmospheric library where you can also access Wi-Fi and digital TV sets.

Tiamo Resort has a coral nursery that they look after as part of their dedication to corralling the reefs near the resort. Teams of divers will visit the nurseries and clean them in an effort to protect the corals that are at danger from snorkellers and pollution. 

The villas and buildings at Tiamo are built on raised platforms or stilts which were designed in an effort to minimise the impact on the building footprint. The resort’s stationary and brochures are all printed on 100% post-consumer material and use only organic and biodegradable ink.

Tiamo is home to a self-supporting electricity plant and runs on 100% solar energy.

There is an on-site natural water supply and water waste treatment facilities.
