Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always had an interest in travel, my passion for travel grew more when I decided to apply for the Travel and Tourism course at Leyton Sixth Form College. The course led me to gain knowledge within the tourism industry and to see where my passion and love for travel would take me in the future.

My passion led me to receiving a degree in International Tourism Management with French at the University of Hertfordshire, having the honour to graduate with a 2:1 in 2019. Prior to graduating I had the opportunity to work abroad for a year in the US at Ballenilse Country Club based in West Palm Beach, Florida.

This opportunity opened my eyes to see a different aspect of the travel and tourism industry from a new country. After spending a year abroad and returning home to graduate, I decided to take a 1 year break from working to focus more on myself and the path that I wanted to take in developing my travel career. Unfortunately, the pandemic happened and I was out of the field for a longer period than I anticipated.

However, the pandemic did not stop me from searching for work in the field that I desire and feel passionate about. Since I’ve started working for Pure Breaks in 2021, I have gained so much knowledge in a short period of time that I did not know I could gain. As a young adult i’ve always strived to work for a company that acknowledges my skills and experiences. Pure Breaks has given me the opportunity to express my knowledge and skills through the itineraries I write about.

Apart from having a passion for the travel industry, I also enjoy being a Makeup Artist in my spare time. I’ve always enjoyed helping someone get glammed up for either a wedding, birthday, party or for themselves. Putting a smile on someone’s face brightens up my day. It is my ultimate dream to become a businesswomen and travel back to my motherland Congo to build a school or a hospital to help the local community. Having family in Congo motivates me to work harder and stronger for those that don’t have the basic necessity to live. I work hard and try my best to make my family proud and happy.

Which countries have you travelled to?

I’ve had the opportunity to travel to France, Switzerland, Congo (D.R.C), the United States, Ireland, Iceland and Spain. Out of the countries I’ve travelled to, my top 3 would be Iceland, Congo and France.

Where are you going to next time you travel?

In 2022 I will be travelling back to Congo with my mother and siblings. When we travel to Congo we usually stay for 3 – 4 weeks, this gives us the opportunity to relax and spend as much quality time with the family. Congo is a beautiful / vibrant country, I always look forward to eating my grandmother’s cooking while soaking up the sun.
