Full InfoMeno a Kwena Tented CampComfortUpon arrival at Maun Airport, guests will be met and transferred by scenic light aircraft to their first accommodation which lies on the border of the Makgadikgadi National Park. This area of Botswana is one of the country’s greatest kept secrets as it plays host to the second largest zebra migration in the whole of Africa (after the Serengeti). Zebra migrate from the mineral rich salt pans to the Boteti River in dry season (May – October) and can be seen in their thousands coming down the river bank to drink.
In addition to exciting game drives, depending on water levels guests may also have the chance to view the wildlife from a boat cruise on the Boteti River.

Game Drives
Set off on an exciting game drive along the Boteti River and marvel at the massive herds of zebra within the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Drive up close to giant grey elephants and stocky wildebeest, and watch them behave in their natural habitat from the safety of the safari vehicle. The Leroo La Tau’s experienced guides will teach you about the extraordinary creatures that live beside the Boteti River, as well as showing you the perfect spots for viewing game.

Bushmen Walking Experience
Meno a Kwena is visited by small families of Bushman from the Ju! Hoansi clan village of Xai Xai, which lies on the Botswana/Namibia border of the Kalahari Desert. These families share information about their heritage as one of the last great nomadic tribes with guests staying at the camp, and are able to impart their knowledge of hunting and gathering and surviving in the bush. Having coexisted with wildlife for millennia, the Bushman families will take guests on an insightful journey as you walk together through the wilderness.

Full InfoCamp MoremiLuxuryToday guests will be transferred by scenic light aircraft in to Moremi / Khwai, an area located on the Eastern tongue of the Okavango Delta. This area is particularly well known for its predator sightings, including leopard and wild dog.
The landscape of the Moremi / Khwai region is quite contrasting to that of the Makgadikgadi as it is made up of lagoons and marshy plains. A wide range of wildlife can be spotted including spectacular birding and hippo pods.

Mokoro Excursions
The ultimate safari experience. Indulge in a tranquil, culturally enlightening water-bound excursion that see’s you silently glide across open waters in a traditional style African dugout canoe (Mokoro) as you pass scores of aquatic creatures and vegetation. Venturing calmly onward will reveal intricate waterlilies, papyrus grasses, brightly coloured frogs, kingfishers and dragonflies, as well as the elephants that rear in close to feed on the reeds and drink from the river.
