An avid lover of history and creative writing since childhood, Snow graduated with a BA in History and Ancient History and pursued her aspiration to begin a novel series that she intends to one day publish. Her main specialisation is in Early Medieval history with particular focus on Britain, and some minor specialisation on the topics of sexuality, gender, society and culture in ancient Greece and Rome, as well as creative works from both periods. She continues to blend these two passions, often conducting historical research to extract parallels and spark new ideas for her novels.
What drew Snow to Pure Breaks was their clear sense of morals and ambitions to revolutionise tourism for the better; not only was it a chance to expand her writing skills and experience, but to be part of something she could wholeheartedly commit to. She hopes to grab hold of opportunities that allow her to merge her passions for history and culture with the tourism industry.
It’s this love of history that has been the central drive in Snow’s travels in the past, beginning with school and college trips to Berlin and then Sicily, along with summer holidays to rural Toulouse and a cultural trip to Rome. Her next travel plans are to tour through Italy via France with destinations chosen for their rich cultural heritage and historical sites, but she would also like to travel in future to Iceland, Norway, and Greece and further abroad to destinations like Kenya and the Caribbean.
I travelled to Rome in 2016 and would love to go back because I simply didn’t have enough time to explore everything I wanted to. Also having studied other historical Italian cultures I would be able to appreciate the city’s cultural heritage in a new light.
There are many historical sites that I would love to visit but I’m particularly interested in historical sites belonging to societies that didn’t leave written evidence. Among these are Trelleborg fortress, Hedeby, Þingvellir National Park, Cerveteri and Hallstatt.
